Swans are the object of my affection for this summer's listening - the 4.2 and 5.2 line KILL me inside. Just based on looks, I haven't given them a listen yet.

Swans are mainly an internet direct brand if anyone was curious.

The 2 most common internet venues to purchase these speakers are

http://www.ozhometheater.com/

http://www.theaudioinsider.com/

I ended up purchasing my pair of 6.1s from Oz and have no regrets. I had another forum member PM me about my experiences with them, and I might as well share my thoughts for everyone interested. So here you go.

The Swans so far haven't let me down for what they are. I'm sure you've read through my gallery for my responses to people's questions. Bottom line is that I can't stretch these speakers to their limits with my current gear or living space. I also live in Podunk, USA so I was never able to listen to any comparable competition.

I've cranked certain songs that favor the Swans (certain bass on rap songs really shine on them, while the really low frequencies are less than stellar on them - almost non existent which is to be expected. The songs that favor them... When I know that I'm giving them 1/4 the power they should have, listening in a tinie tiny room, and playing a less than stellar mp3 - I'm impressed. Sometimes it feels as if the mids are a little lacking, but then again, most probably due to the mp3 sources/staticy radio I am using and low wattage to the speakers. These speakers definitely can get loud without distortion, but the 'full' sound still feels like it is missing. This could be that the sound I'm looking for just costs a lot of $$, my components, or room size.

For around $900 for the pair, I'm very happy with my purchase and they are only going to get better with new equipment.

I'd say for anyone interested in Swans, definitely check out the AVS forums. There they have people that have listened to multiple speakers in the $1,000 budget range, and more often than not, the Swans came out on top.

http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=857183

I still have yet to get the matching center speaker which is most likely going to be my next purchase. If there are any questions regarding the speakers or anything else related to my experience with them, let me know!

I was asked to. Didn't see any actual OWNERS stepping up.

Does it matter?

Finally a Swan thread!

I own the Diva 6.1 and C3 center purchased from Oz. Awesome speakers for the price and great services from Oz.

Easy... I change out my speakers every year or two....

I do the same on my projectors.... and my pre-amps... every year or two then I want to try something new.... expense hobby.... but fun...

The only thing I think I can keep for 5-10 years is the 130" screen, the amps, and the bass shakers and subs.... but with 3D just around the corner who knows....

Drew, you must let me know where you got that entertainment stand from, she's a beaut. And you must be single, what with that rather selfish seating choice,

I would like to get 1 million dollars for them but alas I do not think that is going to happen...

So since I won't get 1,000,000.00, I listed them on Craigslist for $1500 for all 7 speakers plus shipping. With the economy the way it is I am willing to work with someone that is in the S.E. PA area that can pick them up so for someone in the area I will take resonable offers as I would rather not ship them but will if need be.

As for D.K. initials, I think Batman might have a say in it also as he really likes his nick name Dark Knight over Batman....

The swans are fantastic for movies.. I have been watching a lot of Blu-ray disc's with DTS MA, Dolby True HD and PCM lossless and the Swans have a really good sound stage. I have two subs, stacked, with a Definitive Tech and a Sunfire D-12 to complement the system.

5.1 DTS music also sounds fantastic with the Swans.

2 channel with no subs is bit lacking as the Swan Diva 5.1's just do not have the oomph in the low end that I like, but with the subs engaged 2 channel sounds pretty good. (I have a two channel system in my office so I do not use it much in stereo mode)
