Default The Indy 500.

Anybody gonna catch this on Memorial Day? Its been like a family event for a long time in my family and that stems from my grandfather being an Indy car driver when he was alive. I have moved from the Indy car series from Formula One due to the fact that Indy is on Versus channel in HD and F1 still still being broadcast on the Speed Channel in lowly 480i. Plus I dont have to watch a race at 3 in the morning and 2 Michael Schumacher no longer is in F1 so why stick around? Indy is a tradition for me and I love the Indy car racing league.

So is anyone else gonna watch it?

I will be watching it. That is a long fun day of racing starting with the Grand Prix of Monaco. Then the Indy race and then the Nascar race. Man that is a great day. F1 is GREAT this season. Ferrari and Mccleran are doing horrible. Red bull is doing great.

I'm going to be very hungover that day (got a wedding the day before with an open bar) so I may watch it since I'll just be laying around. I usually watch some of it but can't get into it since I don't know the drivers. I just pray Danica Patrick doesn't win. She's already overexposed and if she actually won a big race it'd become unbearable.

Indy lost me when they split...I don't care that they are back together now, Nascar took my interests away.

If F1 is on, I'll watch it but the Schumacher years of having F1 replay on Speed @ 10 PM on Sunday nights took me away from the excitement of Indy Car...those cars look much more suited to be running road courses rather than speedways.

From the sounds of it F1 is having serious problems right now. They're trying to put a cap on how much each team can spend ($60 million) and if you go over that cap you lose some technical freedom. Ferrari has said if the cap is implemented it won't participate in F1 anymore, and Toyota is threatening to leave as well.
