I could not agree more. I liked the system up until I had to send my second one in and got another refurb.

first x360 is as fullf hd as ps3,
there are more 1080p games on 360 than ps3.

reading the posts, indeed a hddvd player within 360 from the start would have help a lot. but now even an external blu-ray player would not change the position of the 360. the marketing op is done and ms will not be able to change people's mind

hahaha everyone is worried about the xbox 360 and what it couldve accomplished.....IF it had a built in blu ray or hd dvd player...
Why are you worried about that
I'd be more worried about the failure rate and the faults in the hardware.
Why not worry about that....Funny they wont even fix it.....I dont see how anyone could like that system at all.....PS3 was a year behind and is already the system to have....its a blu-ray player for your home theatre set up that can be updated online....there IS alot of fun games i dont know why people say theres not....and its reliable
Xbox 360 imo is nothing more than a gaming console for teens or little kids.
nobody would even watch dvds on it....its either fans too loud...or worried youll get the red ring from it......seriously give it up..sorry but theres nothing that can be said to make me thing xbox 360 is up to par with the PS3

This is a blu-ray website....can you watch blu-ray on xbox 360?
I know its lonely on the hd-dvd add on websites...and you want to come here and cry...but get over it...sell it to gamestop for 90 dollars and invest in a PS3. And i'm not a "fanboy" Just someone that doesnt waste money on garbage.

seriously thats the most stupid thing ive ever read, come on ! they are silicon chips inside a plastic box !!!!

the 360 isnt a crappy console and live isnt dumb, it seriously kicks the @ss of the psn store (do they ever put anything good on there ..ie demos rather than the "wallpapers" and theames.)

ive got both consoles a launch day 360 that has never failed and ive got a ps3 (that ive had to have replaced twice...hard drive failure, and one with a disc drive failure..so dont tell me the ps3 is a more reliable system) but they happily sit side by side next to my tv

and whats with the end quote ...>*please note im a true Sony fanboy so even if Xbox 360 did have Blu-ray my support is for the PS3 only*

grow the feck up ....you idiot, do you kiss your console last thing at night, its a plastic box FFS

still, having to pay £4.99 a month for a service that works (imo) is worth it

payment means investment....ever wondered why psn is slooooooow, and has so little content ??? lack of investment i down loaded the BFBC demo from both services live down loaded within half hour, psn.....i turned off the download after 4 hrs and it was only at 36 %

hell you wouldnt buy a car and expect the petrol for free...?????

to say something is "dumb" because you have to pay,is a little bit...well...dumb,

if sony decided that they were gonna charge a monthly fee for psn, would you pay ????, as by your own admission your a *sony fanboy* (something i would not be so proud of stating) i think that the answer would be unequivocally...YES !

If Sony so much as whispered the thought of a rumor of charging for online service, the backlash would be insurmountable. The only thing I'm worried about from HOME is will it turn into what I hear from (virtually) everyone that uses Xbox Live: the unrelenting racist and anti-gay bile spewed over the microphones. I'm not one of these people that can't stand the sound of curse words, but there is still such a thing as decency (though it is waning). From what I understand, the jokes lobbed in-game on PS3 (what are you, 12? Shouldn't you be on Xbox Live?) is not wholly unfounded.
Even from hardcore Xbox fans (not all of them, mind you, but the number is swelling) who say how "bored" they're getting with Live. If that trend continues, then HOME is half of what it's hyped to be...that will be the death rattle.

you do realize that when downloading the reason why it was so slow for you to download BFBC is because you chose when everyone else was downloading it if you had chosen a different time it wouldnt have been so slow like for me it only took me like what 30 minutes for that huge size demo and to be honest i dont think its fair to pay for something that doesnt even need to be charged in the 1st place and no i wouldnt buy the online for sony if they charged me for it unless they brought something extremely good on the PSN

Microsoft did not want people buying Xbox's as movie players. Actually I don't think Sony wanted people buying discounted PS3 as movie players either, until they realized they had lost the gaming console war and the PS3 was the only weapon they had to win the HD war. Currently the PS3 is a major loss leader, it will be interesting to see how much they are willing to lower the price to gain market acceptance. I think everyone was expecting that HDDVD's demise would result in everyone getting off the fence and buying Blu, but that's not happening. So far none of my peers have any interest in Blu-Ray. This is going to be a very interesting year..

It will be interesting to see what Microsoft come up with next.

a lot of people are not ready for blu-ray and probably dont have a hdtv yet and the way gas is its ruining the economy so bad so many places are going out of business and thats why people are not willing to get a hdtv yet

+1 A very very interesting year. With the economy in the tank, it will be interesting to see what happens at X-mas with electronic & software sales.

well good for you that you wouldnt pay for psn...good on you (im not being funny with that comment ) but i would think that you probably would stump up some cash for the service :P

(and i did download the demo a weeek after release...but psn is always slooooow for me, whilst live is a zinger !!! )

i just dont understand this one format mentality , why be like that ?, its not as if sony (or MS for the other fanboys) is your best buddy, they dont have your tea ready when youre home late from work, they wont lend you a fiver when your a little broke, they wont suddenly suggest going to the pub for a pint with you ???? so why the unabashed loyalty (i cant stand fanboys of either camp) trust me, without live there would be no psn , without the guide button feature there would be no ingame xmb (and the update for that doesnt work yet... 2.40 brick update !!! ) without MS sony wouldnt be trying so hard

both consoles have their pro's and con's, cant people respect them for what they are ...great gaming platforms.

at 360 launch, all things aside, if it came w/ a blu-ray player it would have been an overall benefit. Remember the 360 launch happened way before the PS3 was ever launched. Therefore many were already die hard 360 fans. The cost would have been significantly more, but would have picked up and benefited them in the long run, just as it has on the ps3. However, after seeing almost everyone I know that has a 360 experience the ring of death, I think 360 is on the low end and ps3 is catching up finally. I have a friend who is on his 4th 360, 3 within the last 6months. They need to quit sending him crap refurbished ones and give him a platinum for all the crap he's had to go through. PS3 all the way and I love my PS3 as i got mine for $250 last June.

HDDVD or BLU, who cares, really? I have both systems and enjot both equally. I think they both have great games and look forward to the exlcusives of both. The fact is, though, that it wouldn't have mattered to me either way, because neither system compares to the greatness that is the Atari 2600!
