Maybe the UK version isn't supposed to have a UV copy (whatever that is). On the US box it says Blu-ray + Digital HD, but there's just the Blu-ray logo on the UK box. Amazon gets it wrong, is this a first

But when something it solicited on a site, and its not what they say - we deserve to get the solicitaion no matter who is to blame (Amazon or Warners). Either Amazon got it wrong - or Warners did by not informing Amazon the contents had changed.

Besides, what reason can there possibly be for not having UV? Shouldn't the UK rights have been considered when everything else was negotiated?

Well you're right in everything you say, but I don't think Warner takes the UK into consideration these days. Just think, nearly all their catalogue releases don't get a UK release, you have to import them...just as well they're multi-region.

I agree. I don't think we've ever had a UCE type set which matches the US.

But if we all complain, maybe it will but a rocket up their backsides and maybe then they will take the UK into consideration.

Doing nothing means the status quo will simply continue - or more likely get worse.

Amazon has now come clean about the lack of a UV copy:

This Item Does Not Include an Ultraviolet Copy
Please note that the Ultraviolet copy that was previously listed for this item has not been included in the final product.

Someone on another site complained & got 10% off, & someone who didn't complain got a £5 gift voucher. So if you pre-ordered it, you should get something.

If you are referring to the 10% that was me
Got a refund of £10.99 so brings down the price to £99

BTW 10% is the largest ex gratia discount Amazon customer service representatives can give without upward referral to management. Accepted this as nice to get something back, and don't think I would get any more pushing further as they could always say if you don't like it just return the boxset for a refund.

It sounds like Warner Bros. are at fault, so you guys should keep pushing them for the code. I wonder if the UK has had a digital copy licence for the set. Is it available on out iTunes yet? It's about the same price as the physical set in the US!

Ive complained to them a few minutes ago in chat, and they refused to give even a partial refund. They claimed that theyre suppliers said no more refunds,WTF??? Its not fair some get refunds and other nothing. First ever bad experience from UK amazon, they said when i receive item to return it, i told them im not returning it just for the code.

I see you are in Italy ? so the UV code is a non issue to you as a UK issued UV code is only redeemable via a UK or Irish IP address as evidence you are resident of one of the two countries.

Now this makes me worry that the German version will not contain the extras discs.

Regardless of weather or not it is suppose to come with UV the fact they used the picture with it clearly stating Blu-ray + UV means it could come under false advertising. If warner knew they should not of supplied the picture and amazon should not of used it.

Not only was it in the picture, up until yesterday it clearly even showed ultraviolet in the product description. I remember seeing it there in the description for over 2 months, just yesterday they removed it.
