Hmm. That's a cool steel. But Best Buy will have Transformers for $6 on Black Friday. Have to decide if the steelbook is worth an extra $7 for packaging.

I'm debating the same thing. I only have the amarays of the first three movies, do I really need a steel for the 4th?

Of course you do. Everyone should have at least one steelbook of this franchise.

It doesn't say 'New This Tuesday' or anything...

Too many questions...
Don't overthink it. Target sure didn't.

Yeah, it depends on how nice the steel is in person. I liked the movie, but I didn't love it -- told myself I'd pick it up when the price was low enough. For me, it's worth the $6.

I'll probably just end up getting the regular Blu-ray for the $6 and not pay more than twice that just for the case it comes in.

Would be hilarious if this got interior artwork, seeing as the Best Buy exclusive got just a gray smear (if you consider that "artwork"). Hell, even the amaray case got interior art: Optimus riding Grimlock.

If this steelbook got that inside artwork, and a decent back artwork of say, Bumblebee or Lockdown, would buy and then sell the amaray case I got.

I'm not expecting it to have inside artwork at this price, but if it does, that would be a bonus.

I don't expect to open the steelbook anyway so no inside art for the cheap price is fine.

I wished I had known this was coming out, so I wouldn't have had to open the Best Buy version. I would have kept that one sealed and opened this one.

Holy crap I was right about the inside artwork! Back is no Bumblebee or Lockdown, but at least it's the Transformers 4 logo rather than the overused Decepticon/Autobots that were featured on Best Buy's steelbooks this Summer, so it's still pretty unique. Welp, time to upgrade!

Thanks for the pics/heads up!

How is it that none of these movies are in plastic coffins? My Target puts all their movies in tight plastic coffins of death. You're lucky, judging by the photos, that you have one nearby that doesn't do this.

It'll be $13 on Sunday. And the very first pic of this thread shows the ad scan displaying that. I paid $19.99 for it last night and stashed my receipt in preparation for then.

Normally, my stores around me do. But for big sales for the ad leading up to Black Friday and for Black Friday, there's just too much inventory to encase them.

I've never seen any of the blus in these big Black Friday shipper displays be in security devices of any kind. The last three years at several locations, nothing, and they all typically do use them. I think they have to cram so many into the displays that they could only put two or three out of each title if they used them.
