Holy crap. I picked up my computer and was about to throw it out of the window when I at the last second saw that your thread wasn't about a new remake/fusion "Robocop Vs The Terminator" movie. Don't scare people like that again.

Yes, they're completely different.

One's a horror film about a woman running from an unstoppable monster, which stands out in that the monster is a product of Cameron's technophobia, so the thing plays as sci-fi rather than a creature feature.

The other's a goofy satire of corporate culture and a whose central cyborg is a Christ metaphor, not a monster.

I suggest you read the comic book and play the Genesis/Mega Drive video game (SNES one has better graphics but is censored) before you start making troll threads which would essentially belong in a wishlist section.

Going back to the original post, I don't think Robocop should be considered "tech-noir."

I have to disagree. RoboCop is a tech-noir, much more than The Terminator.
