Thanks for confirming and thanks for the very informative (and funny) write up.

I wish I'd known about your blog before your latest post; it's very rare to find disc reviewers/commentators who actually know what they're talking about from a technical perspective. Glad to see industry insiders such as yourself and David Mackenzie fighting to raise standards.

We should try to get that article trending, directed at Viz.

For some episodes, as much as five times. For others, one or twice. And on some episodes, it's not noticeable at all. The episodes when it's five or more times though, those are the ones where it's annoying.

It only lasts a half second per occurrence. So it's not that bad if it only happens once or twice, but for the episodes where it happens more often it does get annoying.

I just checked my Sailor Moon Set 2 and it is showing Reserved For Your Order.
Anyone else showing the same thing. Wonder if they got them in early.

Set 1 was *just* released. Considering Set 2 doesn't come out until February, I would think that they won't even start pressing them until next month

Are you sure it's not just the gift? With GWP items, you'll automatically get a "reserved" the moment you order, and they just tag it wrong (tag the whole thing as "reserved" (paid part) then break down each part in the bundle ($0 parts). It's odd how they list the items, but it's probably the cards that are reserved, not the whole thing.

So my sailor moon Blu Ray has arrived in California it is 1h and 7mins away. According to the USPS website it departed on Saturday night to the city I live in and will arrive to me by Wednesday. Now around here the mail doesn't get delivered on Sunday's. Now today being Monday the USPS website still says departed Saturday night and will arrive Wednesday. So I'm thinking maybe they didn't updste the system when it arrived to my city or something happened in the way to my city or they simply did a departure scan and haven't send it yet. So now I have to wait for the mail to arrive to see what happens. If it doesn't arrive today I'm gonna call USPS and see when it's expected to arrive.

Yes but USPS should of updated their website correctly because I could of left thinking it was arriving Wednesday then having it come today and being stolen and me still thinking it's coming Wednesday. But glad I have it now. Now to see what everyone is talking about with the picture.

Is viz media owned by Warner bros? I'm seeing in the back of the sailor moon blu Ray it says distributed in the USA and Canada by Warner bros? Now it makes me wonder if all the problems of waner bros had anything to do with it. Well I'm watching it right now and have yet to notice any problem.

Yes, VIZ is owned by Warner Bros., but it is it's own subdivision.

Ok I thought they were a independent company. So that means they had the funds to do a Amazon release oh well

Warner only distributes for Viz. Viz is jointly owned by the Japanese companies Shogakukan and Shueisha.

Really? Wow. You are right. I always thought WB owned them. As everything they ever release is done through WB and on television too, etc.

I guess it's just a distribution partnership tied closely to WB but no ownership is held. This is really interesting that it is owned by Japanese companies. I wonder if that played any role in the Sailor Moon negotiations?

I find it amusing. Viz is owned by Shueisha and Sailor Moon is a Kodansha property and those two companies are massive rivals.
