Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, but I was able to catch a good but of the Lions/Cardinals game, and I gotta say the Lions got robbed on several accounts, which, in turn, hurt my fantasy teams and may have cost them the game.
1. In the redzone, Ebron catches a pass on 3rd down, gets the first down and goes out of bounds. Refs rule him an entire yard short. Horrible, horrible spot. Lions challenge and somehow the play stands. Unreal. Lions have to kick a field goal. 2. Some confusion on the crazy Ross punt return. They initially allowed Ross to return it after the Cardinals batted the ball at the 1 yard line. Ross took it into Cardinals territory. Cardinals challenged and won. Lions had to take the ball at the 1. They ended up punting. 3. 3rd & 10 with just over 2 minutes left, the Cardinals throw a pass to Fitzgerald that is clearly half a yard short of the 1st down, but the refs give him an extra yard. Lions have no timeouts left and the play took place with over 2 minutes left, so nothing could be done. Absolutely horrible though. The Lions would've gotten the ball back with 2 minutes left. And I only caught the game on NFL RedZone. Who knows what else they screwed up. |

There is no way that McLeod should have been called on that play. He clearly is looking towards the balls' direction, hit a receiver making a play on the ball, avoided hitting the knees or head. That is textbook what Roger "dumbass" Goddell has been forcing on the defenses for years.
Keep handcuffing defensive players and this game really will become a crybaby sport. They might as well put the flags on now. |

Exactly!
Most, if not all, QB's of the same height in those frigid conditions would've missed that high snap as well. Now I'm not saying Mark Sanchez is a game breaker, but I think he'll work out better in Philly than he did in that cesspool of a team called the NY Jets. All the QB's play well in Philly, thanks to the system installed by Reid and now carried on by Shurmer/Kelly. Just look at all the QB's who performed well in Philly then just dropped off the map when the went elsewhere: McNabb, Vick, Kobb, Foles? and now Sanchez is going from bad to good. Can you just imagine if Chip swings a deal to land Mariota...in THIS offense!! ![]() And not to take anything away from GB. They might be the most complete team in the NFL. |
