Who WILL play COD4 when COD5 is released? - Blu-ray Forum

When Call of Duty 5 comes out I won't buy it. I personally enjoy Modern Warfare and its high-tech updates of weapons, attachments and perks. Besides, I think they should just move away from the WW2 setting which I believe the next one will be the last (fighting in Japan is a clue, well to me anyways). So even though you can use a flamethrower and climb some trees, I will stick with my Modern Warfare... anyone else with me?

I most likely will. I'm sure I'll give COD5 a rent, but only if it's spectacular will I go that way. I just got the map pack for COD4 this last weekend.

Depends if COD 5 has better online gameplay or not. I won't abandon COD 4 til i find a game that has better online play.

Definetly agree with that, COD4 has awesome online play. I'm only at level 46 right now, but can anybody tell me the point of going through the levels again and again other than for playing pleasure?

haha i get enough pride by going through the long process the first time around! and the new symbol... tempting. i'm guessing you lose all your weapons and accomplishments so you have to do them again?

I'll still be trying to prestige when CoD5 comes out, and I'll probably pass on that title entirely.

Bragging rights. You get absolutely nothing for going prestige 10 times. Except for people calling you loser cause you have nothing better to do.
I got to level 55 and stayed there.
If cod5 online is anything like 3 i won't touch it. Besides I don't want to go back to garands and 1903 springfields. I am tired of old guns in games. If I want to go shoot WWII guns I will go get my dads and take them out. Modern combat is where it is at. WWII has been done to death.

i like the idea of prestige mode. it shows how much of your life you have devoted to meaningless symbols

. Cant wait till i have the golden cross. But i heard that CoD5 will have similar online play as CoD4. It in one of these threads but not sure which one.

Depends what COD5 is like i dont like the idea of taking a step back to WWII but to say i wont buy it well....i could end up missing out on somthing ill wait and see

Trying to trade my COD4 now...... and I don't see myself ever getting another PS3 game........ but COD4 was fun though, I gotta admit

COD4 maybe retired once Tiger Woods 09 comes out. I am skeptical of Madden, but COD will find it hard to get into my machine once I can play football.
