Judging from the 2D artwork on Amazon, I wonder could this be Paramounts first BD+DigitalHD release for the UK/Ireland?

Unfortunately, I think that's just the US artwork as we, of course, do not get DVD copies anymore. Although it does beg the question why Paramount - and Disney for that matter - haven't jumped on the "Watch it Anywhere!" bandwagon.

The film was abysmal, also.

Didn't manage to catch this one in the cinemas but I'm a big Michael Bay and might have to preorder that 3D version.

Everyone ignore this statement, it is incorrect. The film is very enjoyable and well-made.

Whoever did the digital makeup on Megan Fox in this debacle, needs fired.

The Turtles look more realistic than her at some points.

Yikes.

It's no concern of mine whether you - or anyone else - liked the movie, but don't belittle my 'statement' (I believe the word you were looking for is 'opinion') because it conflicts with your own.

Really enjoyed this. The visuals were staggering and the CG really amazing. Loved all the fluid CG camera moves and the snowy mountainside sequence is one of the best action scenes of the year. The script could have been a bit stronger and the jokes funnier, but as a reboot it worked for the most part and certainly delivered the goods action wise.

The movie wasn't in the same light as the 1990 version, but I still loved it!

It was one of my favourites from this year

My name's not Jan.

You can hardly call something that has had this much effort and money put into it "abysmal". It's not TMNT III. And an opinion would mean that you were to explain why you thought it was abysmal. Simply saying it for the sake of saying it without any explanation is just a random statement. Sorry.

It was for me no better no worse then the 1990 film but much better then the two sequels.

Having seen Transformers: Dark of the Moon, I can say with absolute certainty, money and effort does not always a tolerable film make...
