In the scenario where the ACC champion is in the playoff then the highest-ranked remaining team plays in the Orange Bowl, and Louisville would probably jump Georgia Tech and Clemson in the rankings if both suffered losses.

I did forgot to add the ACC championship game, but if Georgia beats GTech, then Louisville will probably be ranked higher than GTech before the ACC Championship game.

Little movement in the College Football Playoff rankings this week.

1. Alabama

3. FSU
4. Mississippi St.
5. TCU
6. Ohio St.
7. Baylor
8. UCLA
9. Georgia (LOL, there's actually a conceivable path the the playoff for GA)
10. Michigan St. (with 2 double-digit losses?!)

The College Football Playoff (CFP) announced today that rock legends Lenny Kravitz and Sting will be the headline performers for its new signature musical event, AT&T Playoff Playlist Live!, the premier concert series at the American Airlines Center in Dallas during the weekend of the national championship.

Kravitz will perform Saturday night, January 10. Sting will take the stage Sunday, January 11.

One-day ticket prices for AT&T Playoff Playlist Live! are $30 for upper level and $41 for lower level. Two-day passes are also available at $46 for upper level and $60 for lower level.

I just wonder if this will stick once Mississippi State doesn't win their conference. Assuming they win this week there's a very real chance that their only win over a team in the final CFP top 25 is Auburn, and they'll be in the 20s if they lose this week, and their non-conference schedule was a complete joke.

Most of the experts seem to think Baylor is likely to jump ahead of Mississippi St. Mississippi St. really needs to demolish Ole Miss to have a decent shot at staying #4. They still have to play a very good Kansas St. team which will help their SOS. TCU has nobody left to improve their SOS. Ohio St. has a chance but I think Baylor is more likely.

In any case I'd be surprised if FSU, Alabama and Oregon all win out anyway. Upsets happen all the time late in the year and all of those teams still have to beat at least 1 more quality opponent.

Unless you get beat today then we squash your hopes of getting into the Orange Bowl and make ourselves bowl eligible. It's probably not going to happen but our guys need to be competitive today to end the season. Starting 5-1 and ending 0-6 is not how I wanted this season to go. I just hope Slimetrino doesn't run the score up on us.

On a side note, you do know that Jennifer Lawrence doesn't give a rip about the ACC right? Her dad is the Louisville fan and all she knows how to do is throw up that stupid L and wear the shirts. She probably couldn't name anyone on the team or the coach without her dad whispering it in her ear.

There's a rumor going around that your two (2) QB commitments are opening their recruitment back up. I don't know how true it is, but it's making waves.

I think SMU could be a sleeping giant, they just need the right coach. They're located in one of the country's best recruiting areas in Dallas, and Morris is a legend in Texas from his 16 years as a Texas high school coach. I could see him taking the SMU job and having a tenure similar to Art Briles, spending a few years building up a Texas program (Houston in Briles' case) and then moving on to a power conference school.

I'm incredibly glad, although the only way Marshall would have made a BCS (or whatever they're called now) game was if Boise lost either of their final 2 games. Marshall's strength of schedule entering today was #136. There's only 128 FBS teams, so that means numerous FCS teams (made up of most of the Missouri Valley Football Conference) played tougher schedules than Marshall.
