I have #3917. Rather random number but whatevs.
I got mine too, shipped in a box, and intact! I got 8113, which I like because it ends in 13, but I wish it were a lower number.

Just a quick note, I got a delivery estimate email for my Amazon.ca order; December 1st is when it should arrive. Looks like maybe they might actually send these out.

*EDIT* I just got my shipping notice from Amazon.ca It will be here Friday! Finally! Now I have two copies of it, one from DD and the other Amazon. Time to sell one.

Am I the only one who can't get the bonus disc to play on their Blu-Ray player?
I have a Sony BDP-S360 and it won't load. I got Shout Factory to send me a replacement disc, but it will only play on my PS4.

It might be but all this talk about it makes folks want to see it. How much do you want to bet it will be on the next blu-ray release or maybe the 4k release?

Even if so it will still look like a turd because the source is a wobbly vhs tape with edges bleeding over, workprint at best... plus it supposedly makes little sense as it incorporates too much takes and outtakes. It is more of a curiosity than it is an actual cut of the movie, the true "cabal cut" is the director's cut Barker supervised as far as I'm concerned.

Will be giving it another spin this weekend, definitely amongst the top releases of the year for me.

Also, there were six or seven different versions of the Cabal Cut. They put every bit of VHS footage they found into it at first without being too concerned about pacing. One character died twice in the early versions, for example. Clive gave notes on some parts he didn’t like and they changed it over the years it’s been taken to festivals. At the end of all this, the ever changing Cabal Cut was meant to create fan interest and get to the point where someone would find the film negatives and pay to have it edited into Clive Barker’s true director’s cut.

With this mission accomplished, adding in an older VHS fan edit with murky visuals into another Blu-ray release would seem to be pointless. I wouldn’t mind if they included some of the unused VHS footage as extra deleted scenes or something, though.

I think people will be waiting a long, long time for that to happen; in fact I'd bet it'll either never appear on this format again, or if so overseas, with no new extras. 4K is too niche for this title.

Strange request, I know, but can anyone tell me how much the LE weighs?

I need to return the first copy I got, which was beaten up, and as I recently moved, I can't find my scale.

I doubt there'll be any rerelease period. At least not from Scream Factory (Warner Bros. could probably release the theatrical if they wanted to if I heard correctly?).

That being said I would like to have seen it if just to say that I had. Kind of like how the Blade Runner set includes every possible version of the film. They probably could have fit it onto the second features disc.

Curious, has anyone gotten their copy who ordered directly from Amazon.ca?

I'm still waiting on my Deep Discount order. Heck I don't even know if it was shipped. All I know is that I have been charged for it.

my deepdiscount order has been shipped (got a confirmation email) same for amazon.com.
but both have not arrived yet ! and since most of my amazon.com orders have been returned. at least since they changed curriers to IMEX, and deepdiscount stuff often does never arrive at all (maybe it has never been shipped after all?)

im glad at least the marketplace seller was able to deliver that fast ! dont mind the 20$ i paid more compared to the others !

Just an FYI I preordered from Barnes and Noble and received a notice that it may not ship. Then last week got an email stating it was ready to ship and it arrived #8160. I paid $59 for it with shipping and tax included. For a while there though I did no think I would get it.

I missed that. Shouldn't have cancelled my Amazon.ca order when I saw that DeepDiscount had it in stock (because who knows when I will get it from them).
