There's only so much time to show something in a teaser. It's Star Wars, I think we can safely assume there will be plenty of space shots.

I think the latest iTunes exclusive teaser trailer is awesome! I'm quite excited to see the movie, particularly with JJ Abrams at the helm! We'll definitely get LOTS of action, LOTS of fun, and LOTS of lens flare!

As for this newfangled lightsaber with built-in butane torches to caramelize the sugar on your crème brûlée, so what? So it's something different. Big deal! It's a completely new movie set years in the future past ROTJ. You don't think Sith Lords would be tinkering in their garage during those years?

It's fiction, folks! Fiction designed to entertain. Anytime anyone takes Star Wars too insanely serious, I am instantly reminded of this:

Yes I think that, up until the heavy FX shots it does looke very DIY.

I'm hearing it floated around that the voice over was, in fact, Andy Serkis. Unfortunately, I can't figure out if that's been confirmed somewhere, or if its just speculation that gained traction.

Regarding the sparks on the red lightsaber....anyone notice the falling snow flakes??? that's what causing the sparks..

It can all get a bit extreme no matter which side of the fence you're on, especially when it comes to Star Wars. But in all honesty, I really don't see what was so wrong about that teaser trailer to cause this much of an uproar.
