I think it's cool, too. Not much different from Maul's "variant," ie the double ended blade.

Some people have raised issue about the practicality of it, but for me, it's Star Wars. I don't care about "practical." It looks cool. He's a villain and he has a cool weapon that you don't see a lot of. I'm sure kids think it's cool, too, and will want their own to play with.

Besides, wouldn't the two "mini" blades help protect the hand from being cut off (as has happened so many times in this galaxy)? That's a good enough explanation for me.

I would have no problem doing it if people want to just do what they are doing because they want to. The release is a year away so closing it now is easier then later.

If the guy's like an ancient Sith or something then it could be a proto-saber which would be pretty kewl.

I'm just a serious defender of quality films. To be honest about the Star Wars film series as a whole, I've enjoyed each and every one. It just irritates me when someone bashes a film just because it doesn't live up to their expectations of what makes a good film. TBH, it just borders on insanity. lols

What I can;t figure out is that Lucas didn't have to sell off Lucasfilm to Disney. He could have simply funded these new Star Wars films, hired Abrams to come on board, and go that direction with it. We'd still have the films at 20th Century Fox, along with the fanfare music. To be frank, the one thing that I'm going to miss about the new films is the Fox Fanfare music that opens each Star Wars film (Episodes I-VI).
