I mean, we all have the weapons and armor by now anyway...I get excited about Legendary engrams just for the off chance it'll be the one exotic weapon I want.

Damn, I much preferred being able to sell materials so I could buy crucible marks/rep. New way is useless for me as I prefer to put my marks towards armor/gear.

Turning in my Venus patrol bounty and got 10 spirit bloom. That will make those bounties more worth while to do.

I can't believe it's more difficult to upgrade Legendary weapons now that exotics don't need Energy. Just 1 Exotic Shard in the last slot of the tree is all you need now, that's crazy! I spent so much time getting energy leveling up all my exotics and now I can just buy everything for them

if this was in from the get go I'd probably have been done with the game a long time ago!

Roll on Friday and I'll probably have about 10 exotic shards, I don't even think there are 10 exotic weapons left that I need to upgrade.

OK, stupid question but what you they mean by "Destination Materials"? Is that Spinmetal, Helium, Spirit Bloom, and Relic Iron? Does that mean those now drop in addition to ascendant materials or instead of?

Confused by the materials part... so Exotics don't need legendary materials anymore, just planet materials and the exotic you can buy and disasemble from exotics? So does that mean that the only things that use the ascendant materials are the current legendaries?

Have a baaaaad feeling this means we're definitely getting a new loot chase with materials that will basically make ascendant stuff useless once you're in the new DLC. Hoping I'm wrong, but not going to count on it...

Well I've just got 150+ of each material.

10 marks for 20 material is a bargain. I play Crucible a lot as well as max vanguard each week so I'm set from now on. No more farming for me!

With great difficulty.

I think you need Titans to throw down shields over the place he's going to teleport.

Ugh. I'm sitting on hundreds of energies that I was holding waiting to see what exotic weapons were buffed and how to get materials without planet farming. Now they've buffed the weapons and I've got plenty of marks to get materials, but I'll have to waste my coins to get exotic shards. I'm trying to keep 34 coins in the bank in case Icebreaker or Gjallahorn go on sale so I can get 2.

I've never had any luck keeping him from teleporting. He will spawn right on top of you even with the Blinding Titan shield in place.

Or just forget the extra chest, I have yet to get anything of worth from it anyway. Keep everyone on the right in a group and ignore the oracles and just cleanse when needed.

I had The Last Word and P&T waiting to get enough mats to be worth upgrading them plus Pocket Infinity and Super Good Advice on deck to level up so this is great for me.

Even more so, I have 3 copies of SGA and am working on my second Pocket Infinity bounty so that's 3 extra exotics that I can just max out the XP on and then disassemble for the shards (I'm assuming they are going to be like everything else where maxed xp = more shards)

This will also be nice for some of the armors - I've been avoiding most of what Xur's been offering that seemed marginal more from not wanting to waste shards than from coin cost. With that changed, running with lots of different exotic armor for different builds becomes a lot easier...

I had quit leveling any weapons/armor up in anticipation on the new DLC. I figured I would already have all of the material ready when I got the new weapons and armor. Oh well.

Hey, given the update, I was not going to, but I now need to finish one weekly heroic strike in the Summoning Pits, just for the coins. Anyone care to help with that before we finish last night's raid? I guess we should have taken a few minutes to do your checkpoint last night ric. I would not be half surprised to find a hobgoblin or two spawning on the ledge above, now, to make sniping oracles less trivial.
