I think it will be a benefit to hold onto them till next week. I just ranked up in Cryptarch last night and will hold onto the package until next Tuesday just to see what it'll do. But I'm not sure if the new "rules" apply to ranking up in Cryptarch levels, or if it's just for the Vanguard. No matter, I'm holding on to anything and everything that's ready to "level up". I'm also no longer leveling up any Exotics until Tuesday. I've been using Thorn the past couple days, and boy, that is one good gun.



On a separate note, I'm now a proper level 30 Warlock, without having to use an Exotic helm.

Why continue upgrading? It won't make any difference if you upgrade them to the newer versions since they get reset back to 0xp.

Yep. Still hasn't done anything to my Kuro, but my ZT60 is gone partly because of it. But hey, I went projector/screen downstairs (or will, once its delivered - you checked my home theater thread?) so it's no worries.

I've put 300+ hours of Destiny into my Kuro and nothing.

I'm in the same boat. I have 2 Panasonic Plasmas that I play the game on, that have taken a toll on the Supercharge meter that's yellow ALL THE TIME. They really should have an option to change the opacity of the HUD. If they do implement this, I'd be very happy. I had the same problem with Skyrim a few years ago, and then I realized that I could change the opacity of the HUD.

Not sure if this was just a gimmick, but the first plasma I had back in 2005 was a LG and it had a few different "programs" it could run on the screen to get rid of burn in. You could display different colors on the screen depending on what kind of burn in you had. Like I said I remember it being on the LG but not sure if it was just some sort of gimmick.

Doesn't that contradict them wanting to go through it with your "friends"? They might as well add matchmaking to group you with people close to your level if they're going suggest us to go outside of the game for Raid mates.

ps. I have no problem looking for people, just thought it's funny that they're doing this.

Looks like I'm not alone in my plasma image retention problems with Destiny. Granted, I've not put this much time into a game...ever, but the IR is really bad on my Pany, particularly on lighter screens. I noticed a similar issue when playing the previous Assasin's Creed and one or two others.

I've got a memory stick that has ~15 random white noise photos on it that are scaled to fit 16x9, and I set up a looping screen show every night when I'm done playing. In time, it worked to clear the IR from other HUDs, and I don't doubt it will work this time, also. It's just a PITA to keep having to run the screen show when I'm not playing, but that's the price one has to pay for gaming on a plasma (and I wouldn't trade it for anything except a top-quality projector right now).

Edit: Reading some of the posts in that thread from the misinformed "experts" regarding how bad plasmas are versus LCD brings back fond memories of some of the ignorant posts and threads around here several years ago. I believe one or two of my infractions happened in those types of "discussions". Good times.

Are you willing to wait a month or more to upgrade the weapon you might really want to use? I'm not counting on Bungie being generous in that matter.
