If there's more to include and offer, why not put it out there for those who do want it. Especially if they include some of that lost footage and some new featurettes. Hell, if they would have found the extra footage for Metropolis after releasing the Blu-Ray, would you folks be whining against a double dip for that also? How dare the studios want to give us more! Egad!! |

Bottom line is that if you do not like it, do not buy it. I can say for sure though that if they released this only on dvd I would have been pissed off. Choice is a great and powerful thing, and they are giving it to us. |

I'm shocked! Shocked I tell you! Who would've guessed that Anchor Bay would be double-dipping this early in the game, and with Halloween of all movies, and on its 30th anniversary? https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...4&postcount=52

The wording is screwy to say the least.
From what it says, it sounds like this will be a six disc set, one of which being a Blu-Ray (probably the one already released), and the other 5 being DVDs. The discs in the set could be: 1) The original theatrical 2) The extended TV version 3) The new "rare" extended version 4) The "25 Years Of Terror" Documentary (or possibly a new one) 5) The existing Blu-Ray 6) ??? Maybe a disc loaded with extras All wrapped up in a pretty box with a mini Myers mask. So I'm not getting too excited until the full details come out - probably on Friday in the new Home Media Magazine. |

And we know they were planning a 30th Anniversary Blu-Ray of Halloween from the Anchor Bay article that mentioned Hellraiser and Children of the Corn that was published recently. So we know that it was coming. I highly doubt that they'd put out a boxset with a Blu-Ray disc included in it. The clueless masses who buy it cause it's DVD, will think they have a damaged disc. It will lead to problems a plenty. |

Ill be first in line for this if it happens .. Now bring on the rest of the halloweens even the less then amazing later sequels. It probably wont happen so easy seeing as different studios own different sequels, even disney has a piece of the pie with Halloween 6 rights lol ..

The only way I buy this is....
1.) All the disks are blu ray 2.) There is a complete restoration of the original film INCLUDING the proper color correction and a lossless PCM soundtrack 2.) There are documentaries/bonus features that have not been made avaliable on any previous release of Halloween. |
