Finally!!!!!! I have been waiting for this movie for so frickin long. It is honestly one of my favorites. I can't tell you how many times I checked for a release date.

This is great news. Now we just need Stephen Spielberg's Taken mini-series to come to Blu-ray.

one of the best movies of the last decade. This movie has been number 1 on my list of movies i want on blu ray and now its finally coming out. What a damn nice christmas present. Though i did get a couple of cool Blu rays for christmas TMNT 3D, Guardians 3D, X-Men - Days of future past 3D. This is almost a present as well as i have been waiting forever for this one on blu.

I actually got goosebumps this is how much i wanted this movie on blu ray and now its finally coming out

hopefully we will soon see Abyss,True Lies, Panic Room, What Lies Beneath, Six Days and seven nights (yeah i am a sucker for that movie )

i concur would love that mini series on blu ray the effects on that mini series was like a feature movie

Great news on Munich, if for Ciaran Hines alone, especially given the sea of main-stream crud that has been released over the past many weeks. This, along with Proof of Life have been on my most-wanted list for a very long time.

What do you mean a standalone seems to be in the works? What's the source of your info?

I thought the fact that the site would post an individual stand-in cover would indicate that there might be at least some expectation of a release at some point even if no actual release date was presently available? Thus my use of the purposely vague phrase 'seems to be'. If you can conclusively demonstrate that such is not the case, I stand corrected.

The site allows any member to contribute a "release" to the database whether there's sound data to back up a pending release or not. That listing was contributed over two years ago prior to the box set release.

I'm sure this will eventually receive a standalone release but how soon is anyone's guess.

There was a 3rd bonus disc, a retailer exclusive, but I don't recall whether it was Best Buy or Target. I have it though, and I hope those 3rd disc extras are also on the blu-ray.

The 2-disc DVD was quickly pulled from the market and prices shot throught the roof. As in over $100. I have the bare bones rental version, I have been waiting for years for the Blu....here's hoping all those bonus features show up on the blu-ray.

Spielberg movies on Blu are generally good on retaining most if not all of the previous DVD extras, if not more.

Never understood why the 2-disc DVD was yanked so abruptly. Figued there was some sort of political comment or other controversial comment that forced Universal to yank it off the market after only a few weeks. Well...here's hoping all of it -- "prayer for peace" and all -- comes to the blu-ray version.
