What's up Steve?

So when I went to listen to the GX-300's they were being run completely by Naim products. The new XS and the cdp that matches the 5i, it looked like they had a power supply in the rack but couldn't tell if it was hooked up to the XS or not. There was a bunch of other Naim gear in the rack which it could have been hooked up to.

It's very nice sounding gear and complemented the GX's very nicely. I was a little worried as some reviewers have called the GX series bright and forward sometimes. Although I couldn't remember that being the case when I had listened to the GX 100's, then again that was with Naim gear as well. The ribbon tweeters sounded really good with some nice slam and a slightly warm midrange. One of these days I may have to check out the Supernait now that I've heard the 5i and the XS.

Yea that sounds like the XS. A little mid range warmth and good slam. I'm glad you had a good audition with the naim units. The supernait 2 is supposed to be really special. I can't wait to get the uniti2. May happen sooner then I was expecting. Not by much, but a little bit.

So did your thoughts if the gx change after this audition?

Nice Steve! You'll enjoy that. I have a co worker that has one and another that has the Lincoln version. Both really like them. We had a Murano before the van and really liked it. Very similar vehicle.

You need to get some if these to help protect the inside. We put them in all of our cars.

They have saved the carpet in our cars many times. A little expensive but well worth it. You'll never go without them once you get some.

Congrats Steve!! Yes the Weathertech stuff is the best, they are made locally out here just west of Chicago. I have them in all my cars, the owner of Weathertech really believes in USA products produced on USA built machinery. A great company, top of the line.

You know if I did Id have to go with Dynaudio speakers .... Esotec 342 system would be just about right.... LOL.

Don't think thats gonna happen tho. But I may just bring it up... Focal would certainly be less expensive. How much was your setup?

Total was $2300. Includes GPS/Nav, 6.5 comp., 5 channel amp, sub w/box, sound dampening in the front doors, and install. Think I'm changing out the receiver to the new 9 inch screen. Have some seat covers coming in soon. Those should be nice.
