Wow.

Just wanted to give Third Window a big thumbs up for releasing For Love's Sake and Memories of Matsuko.

I can honestly say that these were 2 of the best movies I've seen this year.
I saw For Love's Sake yesterday and man, what a ride. You read my mind with the special features with the option to play the musical numbers , I couldn't get enough and played them all twice after the movie.

Keep them coming guys!

I watched FLS the other night too. Man Miike is a force to be reckoned with. He churns out films faster than anyone and I'm sure this is one of his most unique efforts.

It's silly as **** and hugely enjoyable. I really liked it.

I have only seen "And the Mudship Sails Away" at a festival (the director, producer and dp were there) and to me that was worth the price of the set alone. I LOVE it!

There's a competition on Third Window's Facebook page to win a signed Blu-ray of Pluto. Just pick your five favourite Asian films of 2014

Just finished FOR LOVE'S SAKE and found it enthralling. Miike continues to surprise and excite. Not his first musical of course, but this was all the more engaging with its use of classic 70's songs which captured my wife's attention from the outset and it was all the more enjoyable to hear her sing along to the mayhem. Must dig out my HAPPINESS OF THE KATAKURIS for a revisit.

I love Happiness Of The Katakuris and am glad that Arrow are bringing it to Blu-ray next year

Finally watched Love Exposure. Really enjoyed it, and the Mrs wasn't impressed about me laughing out loud to the remote controlled car scene.

was thinking about rewatching it later today !

i was suprised that the "new directors from japan" set doesnt get more attention (or attention at all) over at amazon and here.
Someone should really post some reviews for thirdwindow films on bluray.com more often and sooner.

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/New-D...lu-ray/109620/

just watched the 2 movies from the young women that are included on this set.

Really enjoyed "lust of angels" alot. i think its really well done. would recommend this movie alot to people that like meiko kaji , oshima or shady !
the soundtrack was pretty good as well. the actors did a nice job as well. !

really great release and absolutly worth the money !

I am interested in getting Ryohei Watanabe's Shady; it seems to be almost like a female version of Leopold & Loeb. But Third Window have so far only released it as DVD; id a BD likely?

nope. no bluray release of shady... i think at the time shady was released adam had to decide if he does release story of yonosuke on bluray or shady. and because a lot of people asked for yonosuke , shady was DVD only.

pretty sure you wont see bluray upgrades for thirdwindow DVD releases anyway.

highly recommend that you buy shady and "see you tomorrow everyone"
