You hate him so you trash him no matter what. The thing is they run two totally different offense's, at FSU they run a pro style offense with a lot of timing routes and options routes for the receivers. So if the receivers and the QB are not on the same page it can and will result in some Ints. Now in the spread uptempo Offense you have guys running wide open because its mint to spread you out and find the best mismatch, so you don't really need a quality NFL WR in that type of offense. I keep saying this I like Mariota he's a great player and kid so I'm rooting for him too, I remember his first spring game at Oregon and said he was going to be special. So my argument is just don't shut the book on Winston yet, thats all I'm trying to say. You might be right he could be bust at the next level, but I'm in the wait and see mode with both QB's to be honest .

This one is still my favorite. I think Finebaum plays it right. He just lets her ramble on like an idiot for a few minutes each call, trying his best not to laugh at her. He lets her go on because she gets a ton of media every call. Phyllis comes off sounding crazier than Harvey Updyke. Alabama has the craziest fans in college football.

I don't hate him. I think he's vastly overrated. Another case and point is his inability to read a zone defense. He sits back in the pocket for 5 seconds and is unable to properly dissect a zone defense. I do not think he's this great QB that some are making him to be.

Looking ahead to the 2015 season here are the likely top-ranked preseason team out of conf schedules. Not much to see here. As usual nobody scheduled more than 1 quality non-conference opponent and in some cases zero quality opponents.

Oregon: One very tough game, two nobodies.

FSU: One team against a (probably .500'ish) SEC team, three nobodies.

Ohio St.: One mediocre ACC opponent, three small conference nobodies at home.

I've said it before, and I will say it again. Power 5 conference teams should not be allowed to schedule FCS teams. I know schedules are made years in advance, but going forward it should be all FBS teams.

As a fan of a FCS team, those games are HUGE for those schools. They make more from playing 1 of those games than they do from the other 10 or so they play combined.

I was sort of going by which teams are expected to be top-tier next season. I don't see anyone projecting Georgia Tech as a top-10 team for 2015. This is Athlon Sports early write-up for Georgia Tech where they have them at #22. It appears part of the reason they're not ranked higher is the difficult schedule. They'll have a hard time not dropping at least 2 or 3 regular season games with their schedule.

Expect another year of uncertainty at the top of the Coastal Division. Georgia Tech – as the defending division champs – get a slight edge as the early favorite, but coach Paul Johnson’s team has to overcome a schedule that features conference games against Florida State and Clemson and road trips to Miami, Duke and Notre Dame. Quarterback Justin Thomas needs a couple of new options at running back with the departure of Synjyn Days, Zach Laskey, Charles Perkins and Tony Zenon at running back. Guard Shaquille Mason will also be missed. Even with the losses on offense, Johnson’s option attack should continue to perform at a high level, while the defense should improve with only four seniors listed as starters on the Orange Bowl depth chart.

The Big-12 could be in the same problem as they were in this past season - weak schedule prevents anyone from making the playoff unless they go undefeated. Baylor and TCU both play no quality non-conference games to improve their SOS next season.

And 2 or 3 losses this year got us to #12 before the bowls.
