The Iron Petticoat is different in several ways. TCM actually bought the North American TV rights from Hope Enterprises for ten years and the Blu-ray release is part of that larger TCM agreement. So, for all practical purposes THE IRON PETTICOAT is a TCM title for the next 7 or 8 years. They basically own the film until into the next decade. I'm pretty sure TCM has no ownership stake in LADY FROM SHANGHAI. Furthermore, I'm not even sure Mill Creek would want THE IRON PETTICOAT if it was offerred to them. |
