I still actually think if it had been big name schools from the Big 12 who were up there, say Texas and Oklahoma, that Ohio State would not have been in this playoff.

Combine that with the fact that under the BCS system the championship game would have been Alabama vs. FSU...

Is it any wonder that I don't believe in College football?

Regardless, congrats to Ohio State. I'd much rather them win than Alabama being given another title.

The big question is who starts next year at QB for OSU?

I think it has to be Jones. He was the guy in the 3 games with Playoff pressure.

It should be Jones and would be Jones if this were the NFL, but college is a little different, and I would expect them to go back to Braxton Miller assuming he is healthy.

I see one, if not two OSU QBs transferring now.

Jones is the best NFL prospect of the three.

Such a tough situation. Before all of this it was JT all the way. I still prefer JT but what Cardale did obviously can't be slept on. Braxton is going to have to get back on the field and prove he can still throw and play the position. That is a major injury he is overcoming.

What a season for my Buckeyes. I still can't believe it.

It's tricky because Barrett got them to the playoffs. It's going to one hell of a QB competition especially if Miller decides to come back.

Yeah, how does he not be the starter?

An amazing win. Imagine the result had there not been turnovers. And I haven't followed Oregon at all this year, so I don't know how their defensive front performed this year, but tonight they looked slow and small compared to OSU's line. Kudos to Jones and Elliott, but that game was won up front by the big uglies. An impressive, dominating performance.

Eight years ago, Urban Meyer won a national title by out-running and out-toughing an Ohio State team. Tonight, he used that same formula, but made sure his recruiting gave that advantage to his Ohio State team.

42-20, and it wasn't really even that close.

Well, here's my annual bowl tally:

SEC: 7-5
Pac-12: 6-3
Big Ten: 6-5
Conference USA: 4-1
ACC: 4-7
Mountain West: 3-4
Independents: 2-1
American: 2-3
MAC: 2-3
Big 12: 2-5
Sun Belt: 1-2

Still true OSU should not have been in the playoff, play 1 more game if OSU beats TCU then they deserve to be champions until that game is played nothing changes the fact OSU only made the playoffs because of money.

I have a hard time believing they will bench jones after winning a national championship. What a great game for the Buckeyes. I knew they could do it. So many people in the cleveland area were hating on the Buckeyes this past week. I even had a librarian start raising her voice and yelling at me that the Buckeyes are down to their third string QB. they beat Wisconsin, Alabama and now Oregon with that third stringer. Safe to say he's not your ordinary third stinger.

the committee got it right. Their mission is to pick not the top ranked teams or the 4 teams with the best record but the 4 best teams. Clearly in Ohio states case they got it right.

2 weeks ago there was no sign whatsoever that Ohio State was better than TCU.

You could argue there still is no clear sign. TCU dominated their bowl game against a top 10 team in every aspect of the game.

I had to laugh seeing the "Undisputed Champion" T-shirts. I think TCU would dispute that.

"Play 1 more game"? How about a Big 12 Championship game? Because if TCU had won such a game, there's no way Ohio State gets in ahead of them.
