I played with that thing until the buttons broke!!! And then I played with it until the warp nacelles fell off. And then I glued them back together and played with it until it cracked down the middle of the saucer section! Hell, at one point my parents bought a 24 pack of batteries because it was getting annoying having to go buy more so frequently!!!

Wow... that pic just flooded me with so many memories.

The nacelles were likely my fault as I would often hold it by the back end somehow to execute various "maneouvres." But, I was never so rough with it to cause a crack in the saucer.

Now that I think of it years later, maybe it got stepped on by a sibling or a parent? I did leave shit lying around all over the place, so...

I had 2. And every figure and playset. that bridge and engineering were awesome. I also had 4 or 5 other ships. I saw a local shop the all gold variant the other week but it sold before my payday. Was amazing. I had never seen that before.

What about that incredibly sh---ty Star Trek Generations Enterprise-D that had "battle damage"? Two panels that popped open and two streaks of sprayed on black paint.

Someone I knew bought it, saw how terrible it was, then returned it but kept the stand for his other Playmates Enterprise-D.

I remember first seeing the battle damage Enterprise on the shelves and thinking to myself that I HAD to have it. But after a few weeks I think I just forgot about it and moved on. My regular, non-battle damage Enterprise was just fine. As was my bridge set, transporter room set, etc. etc....

The Battle Damaged Enterprise D is the one I have!!! It is still way better than the transforming future Enterprise from All Good Things. That thing looked like crap no matter which mode it was in. Regular Enterprise and Future 3-Nacelle Enterprise both looked terrible. I took it back to Target the next day.

That was the only ship I got from the Playmates run. Good thing was when KMart closed out up here in Canada, lots of this stuff went on clearance so you could pick some of it up cheap. I remember boxes of the action figures coming in - no packaging, no accessorties, just the action figures. With I had a few extra dollars back then to buy more but I did okay.

I had that ship as well, but it pales in comparison to the Diamond Select ships of the line release. I just wish DS would release Voyager.

Unfortunately, I missed out on the DST and I wasn't willing to pay the premium aftermarket prices, so I got the Aoshima one instead. The magnets holding the saucer section on that one are super weak compared to the DST, so it "flops" if you pick it up by the engineering section, so it's really no fun as a toy. Yes, I like to wave my ships around while making wooshing noises. I know I'm immature

It also eats batteries like bread, but it makes an amazing display piece.

Yeah the DST release doesn't have the cool window lighting though.

Of course if I could only afford it I would have this. Along with all their other releases.

Seasons 2 and 3 are $53 each on Amazon right now. Would this be considered a good deal?

I had the whole run of Star Trek ships, playsets and accessories. Sold nearly everything though. Made quite a bit on a few of them like the Playmates Voyager ship and DS9 Defiant. Sold my 1701 series figures too. The only things i kept were any original Enterprise ships like 1701 or 1701-A and i kept all my 9" and 12" figures.
To keep on subject, do we have a date yet for the complete Next Generation series?

Ha, I have this and the transporter, both with the original box. I remember as a kid the transporter that made the figures dematerialize blew my mind!
