Can anybody please tell me why DC Comics is just going to sit by and watch Christopher Nolan turn Batman in to a fussy? Batman is supposed to have no limits but he will not kill. I hope they don't come out with a third one because look what he has done to the last two movies.
[Show spoiler]He killed Two-Face and he wasnt in the movie for an hour.

Nolan is making Batman into a little witch with feelings
[Show spoiler]who cares about the bad guys more than he does the good guys. At the end he takes the blame for something he did not even do I mean if Batman going to take the blame for killing cops but he does not want to kill the bad guys.
you don't see anything wrong with that. And I never said I did not like the last two movies I just don't like what Nolan is doing with the Batman series.

Default OK, saw it and liked it....

I thought it was a good movie and very worth the price of admission, but not sure i'm ready to christen it the greastest movie ever made like many on here. I will say that the Joker performance was legendary and it's not just because dude isn't with us anymore. I even told a friend before seeing it that they probably hyped him up because he's passed like they do with everyone else that dies. Well, negative on that as this performance is one for the ages. My only complaint with this movie is that they tried to shove too much clever plot situations into one movie, hence the three hour show. I would have been fine with them having a show down at the two hour mark and starting the next movie from there. I'm sure that people that have seen it know what i'm talking about. All in all though, very good movie.

Hey now! I ain't some geek who just sits around readin' comics all day either! I haven't bought a new comic in 10 years, but I still remember the stories and characters I used to enjoy. That's why I can appreciate a Batman who doesn't kill more than one who does. I was actually very upset when he killed The Joker in Tim Burton's version!

[Show spoiler]Concerning the apparent death of Two-Face (it STILL upsets me if he is indeed dead. I'm having trouble accepting it.), it was a desperate move to keep him from killing a child. Batman didn't set out to kill him. Only to stop him.

he didn't kill the joker in Tim Burtons movie. He tried to save him and wasn't able to.

I have not saw the movie myself, my son did though and he says it was the BEST movie he has ever seen. Better than Iron Man, better than Spiderman, better than Tranformers. Of course Batman has always been his favorite

Not what I saw. It wasn't a deliberate act, like pushing him off of a rooftop, but he attached his leg to a statue as he was hanging from a helicopter's ladder. Anyone coulda forseen what was to come. In the comics Batman woulda found a better way (albeit, a more expensive maneuver to pull off stunt-wise for 1989) to nab The Joker. No one was in immediate danger, Batman didn't have to resort to potentially lethal force. That's my gripe is all. I just HATE when they kill off villains who haven't died in the comics. It really fries my hash!

And Blu-Light, what about the trailer DOESN'T look like it has some great action?! Didja notice the semi being flipped forward?! I'm a self-confessed action junkie and I can tell you this movie gave me MY fix! I'm seein' it again! Unfortunately the IMAX near my home shut down last September and the closest one after that is well over an hour away. I can't make it that far with gas at 4 bucks a gallon! Maybe in 1996 when gas was 89 cents, but not now!

[s p o i l e r] [/s p o i l e r]

I saw it last night. Theatre was packed....a lot of teenagers being idiots. Getting up and down constantly after their little 16 yr old gf gave them blue balls. Which is why I enjoy watching the movie @ home in Blu..

I had to go see this...all the hype with Ledgers performance. I had to see it for myself. The rumors were true... I was blown away from the Joker's performance. Right up there with Hannibal Lecter.

For some reason it did seem to drag @ times. All the drama between Dent and Maggie w/e This was an action movie was it not? I know it was part of the story but it should have been Katie Holmes and no one else.

[s p o i l e r]I was curious how the Joker would die. I saw him hanging from the rooftop and knew it was his end...it was not. It was an ambiguous end with no closure whatsoever. I liked how they made the Joker taunt dent into becoming two-face but why so early..??? and then to kill him off. I thought he'd be in the next one. How do you NOT kill the Joker when the actor died? lol. I read somewhere that there was extra footage and they were going to use it for the trilogy...if that's the case then so be it. I gave it an 8 I need to watch it again. But I still feel it could have been at least 15 mins shorter.[/s p o i l e r]

have you never read batman comics? only in the more recent ones does he act like a complete loon and kill a bunch of criminals... just because nolan is keeping to the original batman character does not make it a bad movie.
