This is very exciting. Looks like I'll be traveling 220 miles to Minneapolis to see this on the big screen again, thank God they chose NOT to do another sing-a-long and just show the film!
This movie would have been kind of cool in 3D. Picture the opening scene, Julie singing I have Confidence walking along that wall, the backgrounds of Austria. I am a film purist, but did enjoy what they did with The Wizard of Oz 3D.

I don't think it's certain that it will have a new transfer. The "beautifully restored" wording could just be referring to the previous restoration.
