Only way to make it more fun is to spend all your marks buying level 31 gear. Then hitting level 31 then the only thing you have to do each week is nightfall, heroic and raid. Get it all out of the way on Tuesday and you only have to come back Friday for Xur.

That's what I've been trying to do anyway. Takes out a lot of the grind when you don't have to do bounties every day. Plus it frees up loads of time to play other games or just live life

Also what's happened to this thread? Just one new page since I last checked in?!

In general, this thread has slowed down the past few weeks. I notice that early morning (here in the states) is the most popular time for the thread. But overall, people aren't saying as much these days. Pretty natural after a game has been out for over 4 months. Only the hardcore group of people that are still playing everyday are active in this thread. The casual gamers or ones that weren't super interested in Destiny have moved on to other games.

We almost got Crota hard down last night....

Its definitly harder than normal.... We are gonna try again tonight and hopefully bring crota down.

Speaking as a level 31, try to do all you can to get to 32 before attempting Crota on Hard. I'd die just by getting looked at by Crota. We had a strong party (excluding me, of course) last night too.

Crota hard mode guide

The first thing you need to be aware of is that most enemies are level 33, Thralls don’t flinch, and Cursed Thralls and Ogres are Majors. Going in at level 31 is not a good idea.

Revives are also not available, so if you die, your team will need to either wipe or complete the encounter before you’ll be able to play again.

In hard mode, only the primary raid weapons will drop. However, the primary Legendary weapons will drop from each encounter except Ir Yût. You can check out the loot table here.

Be careful when you shoot it. It kicks real hard. It will probably hurt a Warlocks health to shoot it. You shoot it about 4 times in a row with no health regen on crota and a warlock will probably die.

I was 31 last night…..think the farthest I got on the hard raid was ¾ of the way through the lamps.

But we eventually got past that part. When we got demoralized on the bridge…..we switched over to normal and I finally got enough shards to get up to level 32!!

also got an Ice Breaker from Crota on Normal.....now i have 2 and don't need to keep swapping between my Warlock and Hunter.

and like i said, now that everyone bought an Ice Breaker, that's going to be the drop everyone gets!!

Just saw this post on bungie forum, pretty much says it all

I've been watching multiple streams of separate teams getting f*cked over by crota glitches.

Doing the entire first part of the raid in 20 minutes and repeatedly getting di*ked by bugs in the boss fight.

Why would you ever release a hard raid that is this broken? Why would you prioritize fixing CHEESES over fixing BROKEN GAMEPLAY MECHANICS.

I've spent plenty of time playing this game despite what everyone says around me, always ignoring the negativity. But it's finally got to me. This sh*t is unacceptable.

If we're paying 60$ for a game, and 20$ for a minuscule amount of content every 8 weeks at LEAST make sure you play test it first, Jesus Christ it's not that hard.

Another thing, why not add any new mechanics!? You literally made everything a bullet sponge. Taking/dealing 30% more/less damage is a CHEAP AND LAZY way of making something hard. I am literally disgusted. Not even gonna mention how we can't hit light level 33. How are we gonna do house of wolves? & what's the point of grinding hard for shitty weapons that are outclassed by VOG legendaries.

And you guys took SUCH A LONG BREAK to get this out to us. Constantly posting about how you were refining and making things perfect. Your business model is flawed, your game techs are lazy, this game is becoming a joke to every associated gaming community, and we're over this BS. If nothing majorly changes by House Of Wolves, if nothing alleviates the constant grind, If I have to re-level all my exotics, I'm out. I'm done.

You guys released an amazing shooter with so much potential, but the blatant incompetence that has been shown REPEATEDLY is getting on my nerves. Bungie used to be f*cking awesome and I know I don't speak for myself when I say we were all extremely excited for this game.

Well that was a long night. Midnight....Today is going to be a rough day doing legs in the gym. ugh

I got the crap pulse rifle and song of ir yut which I wanted since I didnt have a post-DLC Arc heavy. Of course my Warlock got zero armor from drops.

I think we did ok. I wasnt expecting much. Im happy we did the lamp part one more time just to get past it.

Probably wont get invited. I didn't make the cut with our old blu crew. I spammed this board looking for a spot on a raid till Casual organized one with me. He left and that group fell apart. I spammed this thread again and Lizard/rick/ray etc got a crew together. Mike somehow wound up stealing my spot. I pestered Benny, Kyle, Ken till they let me in their group.
I saw a new guy a couple pages back that wanted to do a VOG. I'ed love to go through it with yall. Start trying to put something together.

I couldnt agree more with that post. How long was VOG screwed up even.

i had to take care of some stuff for the kids for school this morning before i left for work.....set my alarm for 5am!!

i got out of bed at 5:50.

had to stop for an energy drink and doughnut this morning. i'm not a coffee guy.

i went to the gym last night thankfully so i'll be going to bed right after our flawless attempt tonight.

it was pretty awesome how well the lamps went on that last run....it was like everyone got their heads out of their asses!!

in regards to the bungie post.....it would be nice if they changed up some of the boss fights and make them more than just popping heavy ammo packs.

on a side note....i just realized i'll never have to buy a special ammo synth again!! between my 2 ice breakers, i've got a Broken Truth for my Warlock and Time & Patience for my Hunter.

really like it that if i swap my ice breaker out, my backup has a mostly full magazine waiting for me.
