A conflicted person seeks wisdom from multiple places before making the decision, it would not have just been the chancellor.

Not to mention he really should have turned in clone wars, and Revenge of the Sith should have been him hunting down the Jedi. What we received as treatment was not what most of us envisioned and I guess that is the issue I have with the movies.
What, and have him get in trouble for illegally falling in love?

We have no idea if the Jedi Council has any kind of confession booths or a non-retaliation policy for members to find guidance on their indiscretions. Anakin felt comfortable with Palpatine because he's outside of the council, and he always expressed mistrust of the council that Anakin could relate to. Anakin clearly didn't feel comfortable sharing his secret with any council members (and even Obi-Wan would have probably just made a fuss and try to force him to stop, which is what he didn't want; Anakin was fed up with Obi-Wan's wisdom anyway). Even if he tried to beat around the bush, the council would have probably suspected him even more than usual.

Yoda (and maybe even Ahsoka) would have turned him in, I'll bet. So who else would there have been in Anakin's life to give advice? R2? Watto? Jar Jar?

I dunno, it all seems clear-cut to me, at least for the purposes of the story; the guy just had nowhere to turn to other than the Dark Side. Mistrust and secrecy is a part of Anakin's downfall, and it ultimately bled into the way the Empire itself was run (as evidenced by all the bickering moffs and such).

Hmm. I had the Volcano LD and don't remember that one. Nor have I seen it online.

Studios had to pay to have THX certification. Needless to say they save money by not doing it.

Theres nothing saying he would have got in trouble for falling in Love. If he had gone to the council earlier they would have guided him away from the secret marriage, and helped him cope with his feelings as that would have been apart of his training. In the 3rd movie Yoda even tells him, train yourself to let go of all you fear to lose for they will become apart of the force. They understood adolescence and what it meant to properly guide a youth to deal with said feelings. It would be obtuse to assume this is the first time they have dealt with a situation such as this.

I hope Luke uses the force to transfer C-3PO's consciousness into his younger self so he can slap young Anakin around and make him really turn evil!

Now that I think about it, it all could have been more interesting if Anakin did seek out council help, was told to stop seeing Padme, but continued in secret. It could have been so dramatic (and probably would have made this more explicit to the audience).

The point is, Anakin had to chose between Padme or the the council, because he couldn't have both without keeping one thing a secret from the other (and he knew it). He chose Padme in the end. The choice made sense to me personally, and I can understand why it had to be a secret. But that's not to say it couldn't have worked better with some more plot tweaking.

Inherently that is Lucas fault as a bad director and script writer, and essentially why he needed the help had had in the first 2 movies.

THX Logo History (1983-present) - YouTube
It's about 1:20 into the video Ernest linked here. I remember the logo had the fiery background and all the sparks, but I don't remember seeing the streaking light and stuff beforehand. They must have cut it short or something. But back in my video-capturing days, I used to try and find as many of these logos as I could, so I remembered the Volcano one being different.

So, Anakin builds C3PO, and it turns on him? That would actually be pretty awesome.

Even better -- C3PO, Padme, Anakin and Harvey Keitel become isolated near Saturn, and Threepio falls in love with Padme and plots to kill Anakin and Harvey Keitel out of jealousy.

If this becomes the plot for Ep. VIII, I say we get Christopher Nolan to direct.

Thank god Disney saved the Star Wars franchise from the grips of Lucas. Lucas' post-Indiana Jones and Last Crusade ideas have been pretty much worthless. Radioland Murders, SW Prequels, Red Tails, Strange Magic...all not such a good idea.

That's the THX Cimarron logo, one of the oldest ones. The Volcano LD used an abbreviated version that was also on other THX LDs. Cimarron was introduced with the theatrical run of Willow in THX theaters in 1988.
