What a joke this entire nonsense has been. I was casually pulling for the Pats, now I definitely want them to win. If they do, I hope they place a damn deflated ball right next to the trophy!

2015 and going forward, complete football process overhaul. All footballs will be delivered via armed SWAT team helicopter and dropped onto the field as needed while the chopper hovers over the field.

This is the first time I've ever heard anyone, Pats fan or otherwise say such a thing. You're telling me hoodie said something other than a canned non-answer for the first time?

Did he say who was responsible for deflating the footballs? If he didn't it would seem the interview was meaningless. That's all people want to know.

The team is trying to plan for a Championship, and they have to field internal questions, field external questions and he just gave the world everything.
Now the ball(inflated or not) is the NFL's court. Do they have any proof?
He just REALLY put the onus on the league to come up with something.

You have to have more than that. They are interviewing everyone that came in contact with those balls. Checking the air pressure equipment, to ensure they were properly calibrated AND up-to-date with those calibations. Reviewing game film, and probably any other film they have access to.
Unless someone comes forward, or they have some visible evidence of someone tampering with the balls AFTER they left the refs, I just don't think they can build a solid enough case to penalize New England.

Here's something funny, say New England does get penalized a draft pick...just imagine if it was the draft pick they received from Pittsburgh for Blount! Yeah the guy they got back who only scored 3 TD's in the AFC Championship game.(I wonder if he would've made a difference for Pitt san L.Bell?).

If the ball is inflated to 12.5 PSI to start with, won't that ball became illegal when they start using it in a game? So every team that inflates the ball to the min requirement will have been using illegal balls during the course of a game.

Unless they have proof some ballboy tampered with them, this is a stupid witch hunt. Focus on the big game.

I think New England is guilty as hell, but for the NFL to prove it is going to be a challenge. All everyone involved has to do is deny, deny, deny. The good that will come from this is all the change in 2015.

What I really still wonder is why the refs took so long to stop it, they handle the balls at least once on every single play.
