So what do you think will happen with

[Show spoiler]the jokers character when they make a 3rd movie?....act like he is locked up...killed himself....vanished....or just move on like it never happend?

I figure scare crow will be in the next one...unless there done using him...he wasnt used much in the movie...and really didnt seem to be as big as a threat as he was in the first one...kinda seemed like a petty thug now. i dont even know what happend to him...he was just sitting there with the batman clones and then never seen him again...

the guy that was going to tell who batman was...could he possibly be a villian later?

and it sucked that they killed rachel...i figured batman was going to go for her. but he went for dent instead?.

The Joker lied to Batman and told him the opposite addresses for Rachel and Harvey.

Batman thought he was going to save Rachel,..but arrived to find Harvey

[Show spoiler] I absolutely loved how they killed Rachel off! I am sick of watching all of these movies and in every single one of them the hero kills the villain, and wins the girls heart and they live happily ever after. In The Dark Night, he not only doesn't win her heart (sends him the letter) ,but she gets blown up to death. Brilliant writing if you ask me. Also, brilliant how the Joker lives and isn't killed by Batman. The Dark Night ruled!

[Show spoiler]Well I watched the movie for the 2nd time yesterday and Batman actually says when he is leaving that he was going to Rachel. So what I think happened is that the joker deliberately told the Batman the opposite directions of each other since he knew that Batman was going to choose Rachel.

It doesn't matter if the Joker knows who he is going to choose, it just matters that whoever he does choose, he'll save the wrong person, and everyone will be unhappy. He's causing chaos.

Just watched DK at the IMAX today and IMO the movie of the decade. The Joker definitely was oscar worthy. I can not wait for this on Blu-ray. It will be the top selling Blu-ray until Star Wars comes out on BD in a couple years.

Just got back, excellent film, my favorite comic/superhero film. I was entertained the whole 2.5 hours. Can't wait for the Blu-Ray!

wow all i can say is wow the dark knight ruled plain and simple was awsome,and i will be the first to say heath ledger oscar and every other award heath ledger rocked he ruled he passed jack nicolsens joker 10 fold,and then some heath was purely phonominal,wow cant get over what a kick ass flick the dark knight was and the performance of heath ledger was outstanding.

The movie was fantastic from start to finish. Dare I say, best superhero movie ever? I thought Heath Ledger's Joker was absolutely chilling. He added a new definition to the word sociopath. My wife totally loved it too, which surprised me cause she normally doesn't like these kind of movies.

[Show spoiler]It does matter. Joker lied to batman on purpose, he wanted Rachel to die because he knew that batman cared for her. Joker killed Rachel to see how far he can push batman.

Don't know if he was supposed to be the scarecrow in this scene or not, but I did see Cillian Murphy in close-up in a guard's uniform on the ferry. Could it be an escape ploy?

I don't think that was him, I'm 99% sure it was the guy that harvey was interrogating when batman interrupted him.
