Hola acts up sometimes (very slow, timeouts, etc). If you wait a bit and try again, it often works better.

That's the theatrical movie which was a re-edit of the first couple of episodes of the TV series.

After I input the code and choose Flixster, I get the 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable almost every time.

Try to redeem from the page where you search by title in Flixster. That seems to work better. Do not login until after you enter the code and it prompts you.

It's a FoxRedeem code so I have to enter it there firstly.

Default Disney codes in multiple services

My brother and sister-in-law offered me their digital copy code for Guardians of the Galaxy so I could get the movie in iTunes. As they were leaving from visiting for the holidays, my sister-in-law forgot that they had offered this and redeemed the movie in Google Play so they could play it during their long drive. I thought that one could redeem Disney codes once for iTunes and once for another service. When I tried to enter the code, I got an error message stating that the code had been redeemed in Google and something like 'if you want to play your digital copy across all of your services register for Disney Movies Anywhere.'

I tried to do this, it would work out fine if I could get it going and actually have the movie across services since I have my brother's computer authorized to use my iTunes library because I had an extra authorization and they are on a tight budget as she is in grad school. I just have to figure out how to do this and how to make sure my Disney digital copies are available on the max number of services.

I think the registration problem is an accessibility issue. I use a screen reader and disney sites are among the most overdesigned least accessible sites. If I knew what I needed to do, I could get sighted assistance, I just need to know if I need to do anything beyond registering and, if so, what order to do things in as well as whether this is a one time set up or if I have to jump through hoops with each redemption.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris

Do you already have a Disney Movie Rewards and a Disney Movies Anywhere account? If not, you will need to create those accounts first. Once you are logged in and on the Disney Movies Anywhere web-site on the top-right of the page there is an image of a gear, click on that and select "Account". Once you select "Account" you will have iTunes, Vudu, and Google Play right under where it says "Connect Accounts". What you do is select "iTunes", and Disney Movies Anywhere will launch your iTunes account where you confirm that you want to connect your iTunes account to Disney Movies Anywhere. If you have your own Vudu or Google Play accounts, you can also connect them to your Disney Movies Anywhere account -- all three can be connected at the same time. The final thing to do is to take the code that you were given and enter it either on the Disney Movies Anywhere web-site or on the Disney Movie Rewards web-site. The movie will then transfer from Disney Movies Anywhere into any of the connected providers such as iTunes, Vudu, and Google Play.

Late to this discussion- but I wouldnt be surprised at all if Disney does away with the Vudu/iTunes/Amazon/Google copy and just moves to only DMA. Now that the single code is everywhere (except Amazon- which no one cares about), I don't see a reason why they would allow for the "double dip". Enjoy the cheaper codes while they last

Yeah you can redeem it at VUDU. The set comes with 3 codes (seasons 1-2, 3-4, and the final season) so you'll have to search VUDU for each, just type Breaking Bad Complete Series and the three links should pop up.

I've registered about seven times and I still don't have an account at either site. One part of the accessibility issues beyond the site being difficult to read and navigate with a screen reader, it is apparently not possible to register with a screen reader. I don't really know how many times I have filled out the form and had it seem to take my information, but each and every time, logging in leads to an error message about either the username or the password being unknown. Whether I try to recover the password or the username, the page won't allow it stating that I am giving it an invalid email address.

Disney's sites are among the most blind unfriendly I have encountered. They do everything except hurl insults at blind users. Nothing seems to work and if one seems to be making progress, the page will suddenly randomly refresh and undo whatever progress one thinks they have made. I am likely to need sighted help to register and get things set up. One thing that still can work is the actual redemtion process. A blind user can enter the code and the buttons to select a service work. The only major issue is that none of the buttons are labelled, so one has to guess when clicking on a button. If I can get registered and get the information about which button is the right one to select the Disney Movies Anywhere option, I think I can get this done. I have an app for my iPhone that uses the camera to capture an image and then scans the image to perform OCR and then can either read the text from the image or save the image as a text file. So if I can get set up to be able to enter my codes, I can get the codes without sighted assistance. I actually could snap a picture of the screen with my phone and use the app to read the text on the page, but I am not certain that the position of the buttons would translate with the text since I don't know the positions of the buttons on the page.

anyway, thanks to all for the assistance. I hopefully will be able to get set up soon. I've already downloaded the iOS apps for VuDu, Google Play movies and the Disney app. I just have to get the registrations done and connect the services to my soon to be created DMA account.

Thanks,

Chris

Maybe Amazon will join DMA than they can do away with it. I dont know why they even still offer it that way. But i guess if someone hasn't signed up for DMA that would be the reason.

For UV, you can just enter the code directly in Flixster.

I've got Big Bang Theory Seasons 1 + 2. I think you can redeem them twice, once in VUDU and once in Flixster. Is that correct? If yes, does it matter if you redeem in VUDU or Flixster first? Will that cancel out the second redemption? If I redeem them in Flixster does that give it to me in VUDU via UV? I wanted to clarify this before I trade or sell the codes.

Deleted to avoid future confusion.
