Have you gotten Abyss Defiant? It's a pretty great AR. It doesn't have health regeneration, but it does have solar burn, and witch disorientation.

He has sold Suros twice, back when the game first came out. Wish I could have picked it up then.

Yeah, it's an awesome gun. The stability perk makes it 100000000x better.

If there's one thing I can thank the Abyss Defiant for it's getting me over my hatred of Auto Rifles (thanks to Atheon's Epilogue).

I was a fan of ARs until the Red Hand IX hand cannon. Precision Kills everywhere. But, the Abyss Defiant has me hooked. Especially since Wizards can GTFO.

Yeah, I really love hand cannons. The Fatebringer is one of my favorite weapons in the game. The Word of Crota...eh, not so much. The decals are weird on it and the laser sight seems like its too high, in my opinion.

Basically in response to criticism over at neogaf designer Luke Smith posted this:

Nothing specific to announce at this time, but the mistakes we made with the DLC1 reward economy will not be repeated:

Mistakes like:

• Vendor gear invalidating the effort of VOG Raiders
• Upgrading an Exotic reseting its talents

Our philosophy about rewards/loot continue to evolve as we see how players play and react.

We will continue to improve acquisition stories and frequency (My understanding of the perception is that Crota's End drop rates are much improved vs. Vault of Glass: footnote below), lessen the grind and get players to the fun parts of their arsenal faster.

On CE drop rates vs. VOG:

The Forever 29 meme was a killer for us.

We sat down and talked about the rewards for VoG and the rates vs. CE and ended up with the following:

• increase drop rates globally in CE: we wanted dedicated players to be around 32 or real close by the time Hard mode came out.
• increase the variability of perks that a given piece can roll.

the goal here: players would reach 32 easier than 30, but would have more customization and options to build the perfect set (in terms of stats, perks, weapon affinities)

The part where this didn't work as well as we'd hoped is with the Shard economy. Shards are a barrier between you and equipping a sweet new piece of gear.

We want fewer barriers to equipping upgrades. The shard economies erect these barriers between players and the new piece of gear they just got.

We're not intending to adjust the shard economy for this Tier — we don't want to invalidate player effort (again). But removing the barrier between that new drop you're excited to get and actually being able to equip it as a member of your arsenal are something we will do going forward.

Am I the only one who dislikes the inconsistences in gear?

I think, for example, that Gloves should be Intellect (with Special Weapons) perk, Chest should be Discipline with Primary Weapons perk (nothing specific like Pulse Rifles, Fusion Rifles, etc.), and Boots should be Strength (with Heavy Weapons perk), with the Helmet being random.

How do you like it? I have Eidolon Ally but was wondering if Crota HM is going to be worth it multiple times to try for Necro. I haven't actually done Crota NM yet, either. Only been playing about a month and just reached L31 literally 15 min. ago with my Titan.

Honestly haven't even used it. As soon as we got out of the Raid I jumped on to get my Warlock to 20. Maybe I'll send it over to him since I now have to run ROC strikes to level up past 20.
