So they're officially scheduled to release this in the fall, and most likely will release Pinocchio next February.... will that be the end of the Diamond Editions? They will have covered all of their Platinum Editions by then, right?

Yes Imaginarion, all the platinums have been re released thru the diamond line except Pinocchio which'll be released Feb 2016, it's the last platinum to be released thru the diamond which is fitting considering pinocchio was the last platinum


Off topic, should we make a Pinocchio (Diamond) thread? Since it's obviously comin 2016 or wait til oct to make the thread ?

That's what I thought. Still a shame that they never included Alice in Wonderland, Dumbo, and Fantasia in their Platinum/Diamond line. Would love if they added them after Pinocchio, all three are popular Disney classics.

Are they going to screw customers on a Pinocchio Diamond like they did with Sleeping Beauty where they take away an entire disc of extras? (By the way, I didn't even know a Pinocchio Diamond was being released).

Pinocchio is set for spring 2016, I recall a member confirming it but feel free to correct me.

There's no confirmation of Pinocchio being a Diamond edition in 2016;
We've only just this week found out for sure that 9 months from now Aladdin is coming One step at a time lol

Those are just assumptions and guessing.... I highly doubt any member here was able to confirm it for a release.

I agree bout not startin a diamond thread for pinocchio now, but I did find this press release for the diamond line, while Aladdin wasn't mention til Lady/Tramp's diamond even though Pan replaced it. It does mention/confirm pinocchio of bein part of the diamond and obliviously will come spring 2016

So confidence in their posting isn't exactly thriving

That's not really a title's press release; moreso just statements that might not be applicable in today's terms as things change over the years. It's focused on the idea of the "Diamond Edition" collection versus what titles are consisted within it.

Personally I don't take the word of these random sites that just upload whatever text they think will happen without knowing facts

That press release came from Disney, remember people speculated Aladdin wouldn't appear in the diamond cause of its low sales from the platinum yet Disney listed Aladdin in Lady/Tramp's release basically confirming Aladdin joined the diamond

Oh no worries, wasn't arguing.
Just saying things change over time, and when it comes to Disney releases especially, people like to make predictions and assumptions and post them as facts, so unless it's coming from an official Disney entity of some sort, I usually refrain from considering them as being accurate.

(ie- On the release of a Disney title, an advertisement for an upcoming title like Aladdin; that to me is a confirmation)

On topic. Why do I have a feelin that Genie will grace the cover (by like 90%). Don't mind genie at all, wonderful personality, but just tired of seein the same image over and over like Lady Tramp's cover


Hopefully we see a majestic cover like Lil Mermaid's 3D cover Oh a good bonus would be 2-3 episodes of Aladdin the series though it's never gon'na happen

Which Diamond was it that had Aladdin listed as the next one in the Disney Rewards paper, but then was changed to something else?

It was Lady/Tramp's diamond, it announced Aladdin and Cinderella but then Cinderella announced Lil Mermaid/Peter Pan

Will have to be a pretty big upgrade (3D?) to get me to part with the UK steel.

There would have to be some significant upgrades to sound and picture plus some pretty kick ass special features to make me buy after I held out and only recently bought the UK Version.
