Another member wanted some designs so thought i'd share lol - would love this in collection. (Btw I can not fault the original design for this film, it's so beautiful.)

Sorry if these are crap or spammy lol, its just kinda fun doing mockups :P and quality is crap cause I saved low so they;d upload quicker...

Gone Girl is incredible (imo), Nightcrawler is worth checking out but I found the score let it down at times and ruined some scenes, but incredible performance from Gyllenhaal. I am excited about A Most Violent Year (for Chastain!).

Under The Skin is mesmerising, as is Only Lovers Left Alive.
Those are incredible... love them all. Nice job. I'd use them to replace the one it comes with.

Side note: been dying to watch 2 days 1 night!

My top 12 of 2014:
1. Boyhood
2. Birdman
3. Whiplash
4. Interstellar
5. Under the Skin
6. American Sniper
7. Grand Budapest Hotel

8. Babadook
9. Snowpiercer
10. Guardians of the Galaxy/Captain America 2
11. Only Lovers left Alive

I haven't seen still: 2 days 1 night, gone girl, most violent year, inherent vice or Nightcrawer
Nice avatar. As for your list, I've seen the ones I bolded and agree they are tops for this year! Reflecting back, it was a great movie year!

I tend to agree with jw007.. those last two would make incredible covers for a CC release.

You may get your wish. State of Siege, The Confession, Hanna K and Z have been recently been restored, mostly in 4K, so they should look great on blu.

Hitchcock's I Confess is with Warner Brothers, so I doubt it's that.

I'd rather I Confess, but it looks like it's probably The Confession.

Sorry I'm bored and messing about lol
thanks for the reminder
still need to see this
it's just one of those that keeps slipping my mind

and they can release Dancer in the Dark while they're at it

I enjoy it but I'm a big Montgomery Clift fan and also love the Dimitri Tiomkin score. Speaking of Clift; I could wish at some point Criterion would upgrade their Indiscretion Of An American Wife/Terminal Station combo.

I know it's not on topic, but I really struggle how anyone could really view American Sniper as pro-war. The character of Chris Kyle is pro-war, but he's also presented as flawed and damaged by his experience. The idea that the film is a pro-war tale of heroism is a superficial reading, and, judging by the film's box office power, I'd say that a lot of people have read it this way. But that says everything about the audience and nothing about the artist. I can't believe I feel the need to defend a Clint Eastwood film, and one of that I don't even particularly love.
I wouldn't equate The Big Chill and Foxcatcher. They have genre similarities in being well-done human dramas dealing with issues that have resonance in their time as well as beyond.

on a quick non-Criterion note, Best Buy is having a 2 for $10 sale on a few blu-rays, one being Zero Dark Thirty (since it came up earlier). I picked it up and This is the End for $10. Then I cashed in a few points so I could get Under the Skin for $0.99. It's so dangerous to talk about movies in here!

edit: here's the link just in case. it shows both blu-rays and dvds. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....&type=category

I think Waking Life could be a welcome addition to CC, the extras would be interesting.

Eh I Confess is lower tier Hitchcock. I'd rather see them release The Wrong Man or Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
