I'm very excited about Belladonna of Sadness.

To echo EddieLarkin, my top preference is Bonus films/shorts.

What I also like, and technically not on-disc extra's, are reversible cover art on the sleeve (like Arrow Video) and numbered spines (like criterion/plain archive).

Wow, same here! Never thought I'd see the day this would have an English-friendly release.

This guy just popped in today to see the work we're doing on one of those "cool but I can't talk about it yet" projects.

Gotta admit I was proud as hell to hear him say "That's the best I've ever seen [redacted] ever look."

Believe me...it kills me I can't share more yet!

Will both parts of Gangs of Wasseypur be released in a single package or will each part get a separate release? Really, really looking forward to all your releases but especially that one. And may I suggest a May 5 release date? A double feature of Gangs and the new 4K remaster of Goodfellas would be the perfect way to spend a day.

Keep that feedback coming in regarding blu-ray extras! It's EXTREMELY helpful information!

I'll try to find out what I can about the Gangs release.

Our hope is to release as one collector set with parts 1 & 2 together. Gotta stress that's not official yet though.

That's great news! I know there's a million other things you have to take into consideration when making the decision but I think most people would prefer to buy it in one set. I'll be picking up both parts either way.

And to answer your general question about special features, my all time favorite is Charles Laughton Directs The Night of the Hunter. I love features that explore the craft of filmmaking and that one went above and beyond. So many special features are basically puff pieces so anything that goes deeper is appreciate.

Thank you for the info and quick response!

Rolled through a 106 year old 35mm paper print today. So cool!

If you're implying we scanned 106 year old film at 4K - I could not comment on that.

I promised behind-the-scenes sneak peeks. Here's a still from Belladonna of Sadness. Enjoy!

note: This is a 2K downrez from our original 4K scan. This is not a final restored image.

Oomph, that looks wonderful. The grain is ultra fine, just the way I like it. Please do everything you can to retain it once you compress to BD (because now that we have this still, we'll have something to compare it to and see how you did ).

Will there be posters for the theatrical release of Belladonna? If so, will they be available for purchase? If ever there is a movie begging for a gorgeous 30"x40" vertical-oriented poster, it's that one.

Design hasn't been decided on yet, but yes, there should be a one-sheet available for sale for this release. We have some very exciting plans for this release.

...and a look at our work on D.W. Griffith's 'Son's Return' from 1909.
