Yeah you are more then young enough to get their. I wish when I was in High School I would have done that foreign exchange student program that they had. I think it would have been awesome...

I haven't been to Japan, but I heard from people I know that have that if you want to stay cheaply sleep at a manga shop. Apparently you can pay for up to 8 or-so hours, you can a quiet booth to read your manga, and you'll want a pillow booth where the entire floor is a giant pillow so you can sleep.

It's also a quarter of the price as a hotel would be.

Really? That is pretty cool. I was told to stay in a Love Hotel. They sound umm like what they sound like but they are really nice and cheap. Much cheaper then regular hotels.

haha very true. My dad was in the Air Force for 20 years so I got to travel a lot when I was kid. Philippines (born), Panama, England, all over the US and then visiting other places while we living at the Bases he was stationed at. Then when I joined the military I got travel a bit as well.

For me, I'd probably start by going to one of the few remaining swordsmiths to get an authentic katana made. Only one of mine is an actual produce of Japan, the others are all Chinese knock-offs. Oh and here's something odd, the Duncan MacLeod replica katana I have, was made in Spain. Spain of all places.

$250 directly from Davis-Anderson (now called Davis Merchandising Corp.) and it's from freaking Spain!

But I digress. After I get the sword order taken care of, I'll have plenty of time to hang around Japan whilst I wait for it to be made. (I heard it takes a minimum of 4 months to make). I'll probably visit Okinawa because I want to see Shuri Castle, I heard it's a sight to see.

After those two things are done, I'll worry about the other stuff. The women would be a must though, I wouldn't leave Japan until I meet a few. Japanese women are very beautiful, although I think I prefer South Korean women. I went to college with a few Koreans, and they were all gorgeous.

I agree with all the above mentioned ideas you have listed.

I'd get me some really nice cooking knives made as well. Not sure what else I would do. I'm happy just eating and looking around. Oh I would take a Japanese bath as well so relaxing...

I want to someday go to Japan, Egypt, France, Prague, and Greece. I want to see the amazing architectures. The history those places show in their buildings.

They have some pretty nice rooftops there. Every time a movie has scenes shot in Prague, the roofs look amazing.

Nerdy confession: When I went to Japan, back in Aug 2012. While in Tokyo, I totally stayed in Azabu-Juban (where Usagi/Sailor Moon lives, lol.) This being a SM thread, I thought it was appropriate/on-topic.

I only watched a couple of Cardcaptor Sakura episodes, but I googled "Cardcaptor Sakura + tower". Sure enough, it is the one and the same Tokyo Tower

So, the last few episodes of R have looked rather decent on Hulu, and considering that they have yet to release any statements on their R release (and that the second set's visuals are improved over the first), I have a feeling that they might be taking an extra look at their work and may be taking a little extra time before finalizing the masters, which is good, but they still need to learn how to properly de-interlace. That might be why we haven't heard anything about R set 1.
