I had the 20GB Special Editon U2 iPod, didn't play video, but that is when they started the ability to view pictures?....I also have a 2nd Gen iPod Nano which now stays conncected to my 360 to stream music, the 8GB Black one. Then came along my Original iPhone, the 8GB in Dec. Now I am on to my 16GB iPhone 3G which is also black....if you are going to the gym alot etc get the Nano, they have better arm bands for it and stuff. Dont want some giant iPod on your arm when your working out, lol.

If you're using it at the gym, the classic may not stand up well to high impact exersizes, since it's a hard drive. The flash based ipods (nano, touch) may suit your use better.
Also, if you plan to use it in the car with a dedicated hook up, iPod has 99% of the aftermarket support. |

I frequent the gym often...I've seen people with the classic and they're always messing with it. Looks too damn bulky. I've got the rare "blue" 4gb 2nd gen nano. I've got the bicep band so it's out of the way and it's great!

um, it's terribly wonky, it's a hog on the computer, it's the shittiest music store around, it's rips off artists horribly, and so on and so on. itunes really is the worst program/music store/application around. it's the mcdonald's of music.

I used to have the 80gb video ipod, but it got stolen, and a MS rep gave me a 30gb Zune for free on Zune launch day. Its actually pretty good, although kinda heavy and big.
