Well the fact that they had the isolated score on their kind of puts a dent on what they told you about not including features that werent on the inital DVD releases.

I got my international version yesterday and I paused it to compared it to the TT 30 screenshots and I can now say that I am so happy with the international version, looks much better.

I don't think Sony considered that an additional feature.

So these will be scalped instead of being in a TT promotion? I was hoping they'd do a signed promo for this, but if this is coming out where Tom sells them for $300.00 like the original release, then I highly doubt it will happen now.

I really don't care for autographs from anyone (even from people that I really admire), and I can't understand other people that want them..

Mine arrived today while I was home sick

Now that I have watched it I do see the compression issues in those scenes listed(I have a 46" Plasma TV). I am still very happy with the quality overall.

However, I do not think I would have seen the anomalies if I didn't know where to look.

Just trying to plod through the EPK now

I collected horror 1-sheets for a while and I heard that autographs actually bring down thew value because collectors prefer the posters "untouched". Even linen backing them brings down the value. I see folks at film conventions getting movie posters autographed like PHANTASM for example thinking that it will actually bring up the value and then asking a crazy amount for them on ebay not knowing that diehard collectors with the money to spend don't want posters with a bunch of signatures all over them. Not sure how it works with blu-rays though. If I see a hard to find blu-ray for 50 bucks and an autographed version for 200, I'll buy the former. Doesn't make me less of a fan just because I see no value in someone's scribbling. It will also be nagging at me that the autograph could be fake.

This is the only thing you said that I think is valid. I don't think it's true that something unsigned is worth more because it's "untouched." The burden is on proving that an autograph is authentic.

Judging from the ebay sold auctions, the TT autographs only add about $15 extra in resale value over a sealed copy. A little more perhaps if it's sold out. Fright Night 30th is now selling for around $75 sealed on ebay, so an autographed copy would go for around $100 or so. If they decide to sell these for a lot more than that, then good luck with that, they'll need to find suckers. No way that Tom Holland's autograph is worth $100 or more.

Personally I like the autographed copies because it adds a personal touch to my copy. Just like having a book signed by the author. Fortunately though TT has them for free in their promotions so it's a win-win.

Collectors prefer them untouched but of course it could depend on the autograph itself like if you have an Elvis Presley autograph or Bruce Lee for example. If you have an autograph from an actor that always attends film conventions then that signature isn't exactly rare and therefore not sought after. It's also stupid to have it personalized unless you're 100% sure you won't outgrow it. I've seen stuff on ebay like "To John..... Linda Blair" on a poster of THE EXORCIST. Trust me, in this case an unsigned poster is worth a lot more.

I wouldn't want to buy an autographed copy of anything. If I'm gonna get an autograph, I'd want to get it myself in person. I do have a couple things signed without me there, and they mean far less to me the things that were signed in front of me, even though they are probably far more valuable to someone else.

That said, I'd still rather have a picture than an autograph. Too bad it's not always possible, esp. at conventions. As much as I like pics, I really hate paying extra for them.

Ya, and I would never pay anyone for an autograph. I remember in the 80's at Fangoria conventions, you could just go up to Romero, Savini, Barker, and whoever else, sometimes as they were just walking around, and they'd gladly sign autographs for free. But the way conventions have become, where celebrity after celebrity are lined up at tables hawking $30+++ autographs is just tacky. I know for a lot of them, that's how they can make a living at this point, but it just makes the autograph a "commodity" and nothing personally special if you have to pay for it. Now, if it's a Blu that comes autographed or a signed TT promo, that's fine, but I would never pay extra just for an autograph - and not because I'm being cheap, but if I paid for it, every time I would see the autograph, that's all I would think about it. Just a business transaction.

How many copies are there? 300 ? 600 ?

No wonder it sold out so fast!

How ironic to see Tom Holland becoming the ultimate scalper of his own movie!

Me neither, I wouldn't even ask for one! I've never been starstruck, and a autograph hound for no celebrity because, they're just ordinary, down to earth people (like everybody else) but only rich, and in the public eye. Some celebrities, don't sign autographs at all because of that reason! If I met a famous person, I wouldn't treat them any different, as I would treat a family member, or anybody else I know. Most celebrities want to be treated, like everybody else because, they're not God.

So I finally decided to throw in my copy of fright night and the first thing I did was skip to the anomolys. Yeah they are there and yeah they are noticeable (55 inch TV). Can't say for sure if I would have spotted them if i hadn't looked for them. I can live with 2 or 3 secound of the Blu ray not being perfect. Otherwise I think it's a rather solid disc.

Not all of them, I've met more than my share of out-of-touch celebs.

As for collecting autographs, that's just some people's thing, not any different than people collecting blu-rays, if spending time and energy on collecting them makes those people happy, more power to them.
