Having played both GHI-III and RB, I personally find that RB tends to be a bit more "realistic" in the notes being played onscreen than GH does. I felt that with playing GH that I was doing nothing more than crazy button mashing to keep up with the game versus RB's much smoother note transitions. Just MHO of course.

Being on a budget, I'm gonna forego the GHWT setup as RB2 will allow current RB1 owners to still utilize their DLC as well as current instruments. The upgrade option is there for those of us that want to upgrade, but at least Harmonix is not leaving the current RB1 fanbase out in the cold when the new game comes out. Well, they are leaving us PS3 owners out cold for about a month or so until the XBox 360 timed exclusiveness runs out

I feel the same way. I like GHIII/Areosmith, but musically RB seems to make more sense. In any case it's fun. I have a 14 year old son, who is really good at GHIII (360)
had no interest in RB on the PS3. After playing a couple of days, he was on my PS3 last night, playing RB. He really likes it. Can't blame him.
