I like The Vicious Brothers "Grave Encounters", but I think "Extraterrestrial" is a far better, more fun, and creepier film.

I just watched it. Eh, it was okay. It's not worth owning IMO, but worth a watch. I did like the ending though.

That's the one. I used to have this on VHS and it would be nice for it to get a Blu-ray release someday.

Especially after reading that it really shouldn't have been any trouble to plug the scenes in as they have already been scanned in HD in the past.

Well at least that's better than not doing it out of laziness or something along those lines. It still sucks though. At least the scenes are included as bonus features

As long as it's not owned by a studio that likes to just sit on titles and not make money with them, it will be released eventually.

Maybe if this release sells well enough, MGM will release the R-rated version on their own when their licensing deal with SF expires.

I thought the underrated Altered (2006) was a pretty good Alien film. It at least added a new twist to the alien abduction genre.

totally agree. I love that movie. Totally underrated.

As for Extraterrestrial.....ehhhh. It was good enough for one viewing but I never plan on watching it again. Nowhere near as good as the directors Grave Encounters movies.

What are the chances of The Keep (1983) seeing the light of day from SF? Or any company for that matter. Especially if they were able to do a theatrical version and restore all that the can from the cut footage.
