Well, one more bit of anecdotal evidence. Before I had this blu-ray burner/payer, I had a LaCie DVD burner/player. If I tried to play a non region 1 DVD on the built in Mac "DVD Player" software it would trigger a wrong region warning. But with other players (VLC, etc) no problem. So I always assumed region blocking was in the software not the hardware.

One trick that was suggested to me and might have helped was to not set the computer to start playing discs automatically. That seemed to help avoid triggering the region alarm. Of course, since Macs (theoretically) don't even play blu-rays, I'd be surprised if they have blu-ray region controls built in. Good luck!

US appears to have better extras, but French has 2 cuts and Promo Material slideshow (4:15). DVD Beaver has bit rates, but not knowing if you trust them, I just provided a link. I also provided links to the BRDC pages in the country codes. I know you don't have time to link all these entry's, but if posters posted them that way, little by little we could get the list linked (unless that would cause file size issues).

I fixed it. I just wish we had a bitrate for the TT disc.
