Still bad weather here, so I didn't expect to get it til the weekend.

But I checked the status today and it said that I requested to pick it up at the UPS location, which I didn't. Got there and was told it was actually on the truck but that they couldn't get to my place because of the weather conditions. I got really lucky, as when I was about to leave, the driver pulled in and they unloaded the truck and found my packages.

So keep an eye on your statuses on the UPS site. It's hard to tell what's going on there. You might be able to go pick it up if you can make the drive. And they didn't charge me the usual fee for early pickup since I didn't actually request it.

...but my Targets destroy half their product with spider wrap and too small plastic coffins.

I agree, they look so good together! Martell will look great next to Tyrell next year for season 5.

Think that's what I'll do too. I'll probably keep sealed Martell on the shelf next to Tyrell until we do get a Season 5 version, though.

I'm thrilled with my purchase and preordered well in advance... are you grumpy because you didn't preorder one? And I will be happy next year as long as Best Buy releases something new, whether it be Stannis, Bolton, Baratheon, Martell, Tyrell, Dondarrion, etc. They look awesome together no matter what house they are as long as they are new.

Nope. I happily go in store to BB and buy the standard release each and every year...not a slipcover junkie. It just seems like you are trying to talk yourself into believing that Martell will be available next year because you didn't think you would like it at the time you pre-ordered it. Like I said, for you I hope it is.

The house words have to be short and succinct. The Lannister's unofficial motto is too long.

Don't worry about me, I won't be sad next year if Martell isn't released. The only thing I will be is angry if Best Buy releases Stark, Targaryen, Lannister again and again, ad naseum. I don't think there's anything wrong with being happy with people who think similarly to me (i.e., by getting Tyrell) and I don't think there's anything wrong with pointing out the many reasons why Martell will probably be back next season when people ask about which they should pick.

Please don't get me wrong....there was no intent of sarcasm in my reply. I do truly wish you get Martell, as I know how the nature of a collector is to get every item released. I truly do hope you get it. Although I have no interest in them, I do fear that we will see the Stark, Lannister, and Targaryen covers again in the near future as long as the fans have a vote/say. Personally, I would love to see some of the smaller houses get some love - Payne, Fossaway, etc.

Picked up the standard release (for continuity sake) of season 4 at Best Buy today. Was surprised to seem them all spider-webbed, but found a cart in the main home video section full of blu-rays including GoT without those pesky security wraps so yay!

I know what you mean, I hate the nature of a collector, but I do try to pick and choose wisely. And to be clear, I wasn't being snide in case you thought that. If I really wanted Martell, I would have ordered it this morning - I was actually the first person to post here that it was back in stock in case anyone else wanted to get it while it was back.

So, as far as I'm concerned, it's all good. Did you pick the standard edition up, or one with bonus disc, or still waiting for a further price drop?
