As a kid I always looked at Shore and Baldwin as the live action Beavis and Butthead. And I loved it

Do I have to keep checking it, or is there an automated thing where it tells me in an email if it goes down?

Straight up classic. Everyone should own this is they enjoy comedies. A favorite of mine. You people that don't like it suck major.

I'm thinking because it's Olive it'll eventually hit around the $17.99 mark but not below for at least a year. Now two years later you see films like The Running Man sitting at around $13 and it's pretty bare-bones and is a title with another copy from another distributor out there. With no one else releasing this it doesn't even have competition.

Hoping it's more like UHF (even though it was Shout) where it dropped to around $15 bucks pretty quick. I'd have no problem parting with $15 for this.

$15 is my max price for older titles, and even that is pushing it. But I've seen this movie so many times on TV, never on DVD, so I know it'll have a lot of rewatching!

I'm not going to disagree with any of that. There's no doubt that these movies are love 'em or hate 'em for the most part. I can't say that I'm emotionally engaged myself in any of his films or characters... but for me they're fun and nostalgic. I don't always want to watch movies that make me think or have me get emotionally engaged as you say. These are not about amazing and intricate stories or master classes in film direction... they're not supposed to be. But if you don't find the comedy entertaining then these are certainly not for you.

We're discussing Bio Dome, not Birdman.

This might be worth picking up just to see Kylie Minogue gettin' her mack on in HD. Smooooookin'.

God, I hate myself for considering getting this............. It would go on my "bad movie shelf" alongside the likes of The Room, Mario Bros., Street Fighter, Miami Connection, etc.

Remember that Citizen Kane was also not as well-regarded upon its release, and it was dismissed by many moviegoers. A good many such films are often underrated until decades later, when people have a better appreciation for how the stories and cinematography were ahead of their time.

Okay, okay, I might have gone overboard just now in extolling the virtues of Bio-Dome, but I graduated from college shortly before this film was released, and I can attest to the fact that it actually is an amusing parody of the "activist environmental college atmosphere" that pervaded campuses at the time.

Here's a classic college parody from the '90s, PCU:

PCU is funny. I prefer Bio-Dome by a small margin, but both films were good stuff back in the day.

It has to be nostalgia. I'm curious how old the people calling this film a classic are. I was 11 when this came out on VHS. My best friend made me watch it and it was a painful, embarrassing experience. Happy Gilmore came out the same year as Bio-Dome and I loved it (and still do).

Yes, I agree. Both are really good, but I do prefer Bio-Dome myself.

If Olive has the rights to these type of guilty pleasure films, I hope they have the rights to Cool As Ice.

I enjoy this movie for what it is, but the price is definitely outrageous.

I don't remember when this came out.
I only remember ever seeing it on tv...
