Really early reports coming out regarding this, but supposedly the tape will probably be released in the next few days.

He was due a lot of money, injury prone, and just not very good anymore. It got tiring watching him dance in the backfield and getting tackled for a small gain (or a loss). As a player, he won't be missed. A good guy in the locker room and community though.

I really hope the Eagles take a look at Mathias Kiwanuka. Short of one season he's been pretty healthy.

I think The Birds will be shopping and spending "LOTS" of dough on new additions. I'm feeling good about this Year and our chances to be competitive with the elite teams, .

I think they have to make it a prority to resign Maclin. You can't let both Jackson and Maclin walk in the span of 2 seasons. No chance they let him walk, not with Jordan Matthews getting another year at #2 to further bloom into a potential stud WR.
After that it's all about the DBs!! With the exception of Malcolm Jenkins, the secondary was a complete disaster! Not sure if they can address that in both FA and the draft, but it probably would take that to make the secondary somewhat competitive. Them I'd like to see them grab an OL, for much needed depth. Then LB, as who knows why will happen with Ryans. I sure hope he can come back, but he's due a good chunk of money on recently torn up knee.
So with all those glaring holes there's no way the Eagles trade draft picks for Mariota. Just not gonna happen!
I would be interested in seeing them shop McCoy around. Trade him for some much needed draft picks. Polk, while I don't think will be as good, he will be a solid replacement...AND it would shave 12mil in cap space!
Yeah, easy for me to say all that from the comfort of my armchair. Guess we'll find out in a couple months! Like every year, it should be interesting.

Did he punch her so hard she rolled back into another aisle or something?

This is just a little hard to believe since it happened in a public place and they kept it under wraps till now? Too many unanswered questions for me.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe he's ever played in a 3-4 defense.

And I personally don't think he'd be very good at all in a 3-4.

The Eagles run a hybrid 3-4. Plus if they were to bring him in, it would be for depth.

Apparently Peterson has not been reinstated. From former agent and Packers executive Andrew Brandt:

To clear up confusion, Judge Doty cannot reinstate Adrian Peterson, only the NFL can do that. He can only vacate (overturn) ruling.

Doty: "The case is remanded for such further proceedings consistent with this order as the CBA may permit." May mean another hearing.

Translation: Doty says to go back and have NFL arbitrator -- probably not Henderson -- apply "old standard" (whatever that was).

That is correct. Goodell will have to reinstate him, and I fully expect him to drag his feet. He could appeal the judge's decision and keep Peterson on suspension until the appeal is over, but he is on such thin ice, I think he'll swallow his pride and give in.

edit: OK, I was wrong. Goodell's going out in a blaze of glory. Appeal has been filed, AP still suspended.
edit2: I guess he's on the Commissioner's Exempt list again, which means he's permitted to talk to the Vikings. Not sure about other teams. I'm so confused

If I understood correctly, ESPN Dallas radio was reporting that he was dragging her around a parking lot by her hair, and slamming her into cars. Repeatedly.

I don't know how you characterize a multiplier but I'd call that worse than Rice, if true.

I almost feel like I had to have misheard the Dez report, because it doesn't seem to be reported anywhere online and I'd think that would be out there if true.

It does line up with what is apparently known that it involves a car registered to Dez and a woman in a parking lot.

I was totally in and out on the conversation, maybe they were just using it as an example of what could be on the tape to make the Cowboys hedge?

Here's my problem with the Dez thing it happened 4 years ago it seems ridiculous to punish him now. Of course I have a problem with this whole thing if it's ture but how do you punish someone for an event 4 years ago. I mean if they don't get the tape till next year it'll be half a decade ago.

Very simple you punish them the same way you punish any criminal if he assaulted someone 4 years ago let the legal process play out because there will be one for sure then apply the NFL punishments once his legal proceedings are complete.

What you just said is very obtuse because according to your statement if someone was murdered or assaulted and didn't get caught for years whats the harm it happened years ago. There is no statute of limitations in the NFL, this is like any job there is no right to play/work. If anyone does something that damages the league they have no right to be there.

To clear up any confusion the police apparently have no tape

Lancaster, Tex. police say they have no video of the July 2011 incident involving Dez Bryant in a Walmart parking lot.

Police had already said they were summoned but made no arrests. Now we know they don't have the supposed smoking-gun video that's been the subject of innuendo and Twitter hysteria over the past 48 hours. The episode should begin fading from memory.
