from Synapse's facebook:

TENEBRAE update from Don. No release date set for that or PHENOMENA. Still work to be done on the supplements. SUSPIRIA also still in production (undergoing a 4k scan), but the hope is to have all three titles out in 2015. That said, no release dates will be announced until these titles are actually finished.

For more detailed discussion on TENEBRAE, please look at the comments on this post on Don's personal page.

I was going to get rid of the DVDs of this and 'Phenomena', then noticed both had commentaries with Dario that haven't ended up on any BD release. The Arrow releases certainly didn't have them. Of course, this might not be enough to make anyone hold onto those old discs.

I will likely keep both just for the commentary tracks.

So far these look like they'll be great releases. I just really hope standard pakaging is available with extras included.

Am I the only one who hates steelbooks?

I don't like them myself. I mostly hate that a Steelbook release would mean they'll be limited editions and thus probably expensive. It's understandable because these releases probably cost a lot to produce, but I nonetheless hope Synapse is able to put them out in normal cases in a non limited run.

I'm just not a fan of them holding the bonus featurs hostage on the more expensive releases. I'd probably pay a $10 or $15 premium for a steelbook, but $30 is just a bit too much more.

I just think they're way too susceptible to damage with normal handling, on and off the shelf. Wears on the paint after a while. Don't have to worry about that with a plain old blu case. I find that they are too delicate and need to be handled very carefully. And I agree too that extras should not be held hostage for the sake of some gimmicky collectible packaging.

I wonder how one could improve on the Wild Side transfer - I've think I've bought every edition - domestic and import edition of this film.

Yeah, he has a great write-up on that disc. The majority of it obviously isn't nearly that bad, but the fact that kind of thing is in there at all means there was some serious room for improvement That reviewer is really, really picky and he says the disc is generally really good, but highlights the issues like that.

I understand Dubstar's frustration though. I have six discs of the film now, three DVDs and three blu-rays. I'll be getting this one too, but I do ask myself sometimes if what I have isn't good enough.

That's the unfortunate nature of films having different license owners in different areas of the world. Honestly if you're happy with what you've got just stick with it. Synapse deserve the support but if what you've got you're happy with, just stay with that. If you aren't though of course, definitely support the high production values of the Synapse release!

For most titles, I do exactly that, but Tenebre is one of my favorite movies of all time, so I just have to have the best version.

Does that blip occur on the Arrow Steelbook?

Didn't Synapse have similar issues with the digital masters they were provided for Demons 1 and 2? In any case it's guaranteed that Don noticed that and made whatever efforts were possible to fix it.
