I absolutely love this film and wish it would get a US release.

While it kinda bombed at the Box Office, I really thought it had a lot going for it.

are you sure about this ? because this is not from a comparison to the french Bl Ray its a german studio canal

Yes, I own the french release and I can confirm it is cut.

i just looked on the cut scenes. it does not seem like this is severe cuts at all. You hardly notice the cuts at least from the screen shots there it seems like almost nothing is missing. So these cuts does not really make sense

Problems with the master perhaps? Print damage? Who knows. But it is annoying nonetheless.

So there's 23 seconds of material missing that doesn't impact the movie whatsoever? LOL! The PQ looks great on the French release though, so it's not a big issue for me.

me either i already got it. You hardly notice these missing seconds and yes the PQ is very pleasing indeed.
