Her parents didn't earn the right to ignore the law. No one is above the law. It is that kind of thinking that causes such division within our society. Paris is a no-talent ***** whose only medical condition was that she couldn't get her coke fix while incarcerated so she got daddy to pay off the mean sherriff so she could come home and relax. She ignored the laws because she thought they didn't apply to her. They apply to EVERYONE. She deserves to spend her ENTIRE sentence (45 days) in a tiny cell just like I would if I were to do the same things she did (driving while intoxicated/suspended liscence, etc.) She's a blight on society and deserves to rot in jail for it.

I get it, and I have seen House of Wax. But if you had that kind of money, you'd be just as annoying as she is. People used to pay her thousands just to show up at a party for a couple of hours and be seen. You would show up too, and there'd be some a-hole taking your picture just because you're famous. 99% of people on this board would do the same.

Also rthere are lots of talentless famous people beyond just her. Most actors, many singers....

Agreed. I guess I should blame the media for her overexposure and not Paris. She's going to jail though. She looks so sad in that picture. Maybe this will make her not want to break the law anymore

this whole thing is over a DWI. that's ridiculous. the judge just doesn't want to be made a fool of. now she's being forced to serve her original sentence before the reduction--45 days. it's all retarded, they should just give her community service and shut the hell up about it.

I think that's exactly it. People hate on these individuals but they should just despise the media instead sinc eit makes them what they are. I agree that people like her are annoying and they ought to realize they are not impressive, rather they are created monstrosities. However most normal people who criticize such celebs who be exactly the same in those circumstances and not apologize for it.

Celebs get away with way too much, they should suffer the penalty of the law just as we would.

As for Paris herself? Yeah, she's rich but there are plenty of millionaire sons and daughters out there that don't feel the need to parade themselves as something special. The fact is she has no talent for anything, if she didn't have rich parents she would be nothing.

She is a prime example of what has gone so hideously wrong with the entertainment world and celebrity in general. There are plenty of amazing actors out there that deserve recognition. But she's famous for having rich parents, big wow.

Lock her up, she does nothing of any consequence in the world.

No, it was from driving with a suspended license after getting a D.W.I. The exact same situation is happening with my friend right now. They are trying to give her 6 months in jail. Kind of puts things into perspective, huh?

Then again, she won't actually get 6 months. Whatever she gets, she won't actually serve all that time. She doesn't have the same kind of lawyer that a rich person would. When she only get 2 months instead of 6 and only serves 1... there won't be worldwide media scrutiny asking why.

It's a great question, but Europe has similar issues. I think in the U.S. we replaced the English royal family obsession with celeb obsession.

It's stupid the way they get idolized but equally stupid the way people hate on them as well. To me, people who play either side of that game are a bit lost.
