Well, I bit the bullet and went ahead & ordered this from the TMC website. As a HUGE fan of both Jean Arthur and Rite Hayworth (oh & that Grant guy is pretty good too ) I just had to have this Blu-ray.

Ordered this along with Remember The Night Blu-ray from TCM shop. They have a 20% off code CYBER20 site wide with free shipping. Had to call them to order because the inclusion of the Remember The Night holiday cards does not allow the 20% off!! Anyway got both of them for $41.50 shipped. Not bad!!

Just got mine today, along with Remember the Night. Came in a box with an air-filled plastic pillow.

I find it odd that TCM can't seem to make up their mind about packaging:

Iron Petticoat -- standard Blu-ray case with no sleeve
The Lady from Shanghai (1.0) -- DVD case with sleeve
The Lady from Shanghai (2.0) -- clear Blu-ray case with sleeve
Remember the Night -- standard Blu-ray case with no sleeve
Only Angels Have Wings -- clear Blu-ray case with sleeve

Not to mention ditching the DVD copies for the second two (not that I miss them).

I also find it odd that they continue to have a "Region 1 NTSC" icon on the packages and BDs.

Beautiful packaging. The movie sounds good. Gonna order one ASAP. And yea, I wish TCM would make up their mind about the packaging for their releases as well.

BTW, anyone hear if/when TCM may be going to announce some more exclusive Blu-ray classics coming?

Do TCM ever have 'major' sales? This is only 17% off on their site, plus they want $4.95 shipping! Is it possible that Amazon will carry it at a later date? It's really difficult to justify paying $30 for a (basically) bare-bones studio title in 2015.

But, as a Canadian, I'm not taking a $22.00 bath for shipping. That's just an insult. I just got the Italian release of GILDA from Germany (yeah, Germany...go figure) for $16.00 plus $3.49CDN shipping. If the Germans can ship a BD to Winnipeg for $3.49, I'm not paying 22 U.S. bucks for shipping unless Robert Osborne shows up at my door.

With a little luck, this will also show up in the future as a Mill Creek release that we can order from amazon.ca for $11.00.

not sure but it stays pretty much the same even if you add about 30 titles, I once ordered a whole bunch of Warner Archive dvds and some blus to Australia when they had 30% off, and shipping was about $40 for about 50 items. But $36.95 for 1 item

they have 15-20% off coupons every other week. Few times a year they have 25-30% off coupons too.

I have been watching this title in the TCM shop for a while and just saw it is now on sale for $14.99.

I just grabbed it for about $21.71 shipped, as a heads up to anyone else who has also been waiting for the price to drop.

Definitely one of my more wanted titles. Was hoping Criterion would release it, but glad to see it coming. Hopefully, TCM has learned how to handle a blu-ray release after The Lady from Shanghai snafus.
