It would be funny if Nick Frost had a small role as a soldier or something. Small dialog with him getting orders and him turning saying "wa^ker" or something similar.

Thats the idea that should have been used in the prequel movies and I thought was going to be used. Palpatine and Anakin get possessed by the spirits of long dead sith lords.

"Some folks still think Hitler retired to a quiet life in Argentina"

Actually allot of historians believe that and have laid out evidence of that. And they are asked why didnt we go after him? Because it would have taken tens of thousands of troops to do so and it was decided by the major powers that he wasnt worth it. And so it was kept a secret as to his whereabouts. Keep in mind Nazi's did escape from Germany and make their way to Argentina

No, one guy wrote a book with little to no evidence and all historians dispute it:

Quote:
The theory that Hitler escaped to Argentina has been widely dismissed by historians, who believe that Hitler and Braun died in the last days of World War II in Europe.[5] Historian Guy Walters, described the theory as "2,000 per cent rubbish" when the Dunstan and Williams' book was published. Walters added: "It's an absolute disgrace. There's no substance to it at all. It appeals to the deluded fantasies of conspiracy theorists and has no place whatsoever in historical research."

And while I know Wikipedia is not itself a source, they have their sources cited.

Mods: sorry for the off topic correction, back to your regularly scheduled Star Wars topic.

Yet no bodies where discovered and stories and sightings (even if they are fantasy) have been around since the end of the war. One thing's for certain, scientists and historians love to put them self in the spotlight and debunk another's theories, they're a pretty petty bunch (the semi-celebrity ones at least). Half the shows I see are one scientist setting out to prove another's theories wrong!

I'd imagine Palpatine would be similar, with no body, the Empire and the Republic would be rife with sightings and fantasies of his survival.

What does everyone think - is Rogue One actually just title "Rogue One"?

I mean, it seems bogus to me that they'd release it without the Star Wars banner, but literally everything I've seen, from the press release onwards to news outlets, has referred to it as simply "Rogue One".

Of course it'll say Star Wars. Do you go around saying "I'm gonna watch Star Wars V: The Empire Strikes Back tonight?" No, you say "I'm gonna watch Empire tonight."

If they haven't included Star Wars in the title then I think it's a good move. With all of the spin offs that Disney are pushing through, it'd be nice to keep the theatrical SW branding (with the theme, the crawl etc) for the proper 'Episodes' rather than pimping it out for every single film.

I think Star Wars will and should be in the title, I mean they're going to want to make it as clear as possible it's a Star Wars movie. Imagine posters for example that just said "Rouge One". The "Episode [insert Roman numeral here]" part won't be, and that's enough to set it apart from the main films. However, the opening crawl I could see them skipping, and have no real preference either way. Will be interesting to find out whether they decide to keep it or not.

The opening scrawl doesn't necessarily have to be included. If they really wanted to help differentiate the standalone films, that would be one way to do so.

Given the amount of times that people keep misspelling it, they might as well call it Rouge One. (Same with the 'Rouge' Cut of DOFP.) Heck of it is, people would probably then start spelling it properly purely by accident.

Sorry for the sarky moan, but for all the myriad speling misteaks on teh internets that one really winds me up. Rouge rougey rouge.

...

In my defense I know how it's actually spelled, it's one of those typos I make often though.

I finally bought the OT on Blu. Not the entire set, it's the box set with just the OT. Has the BR and DVD of the OT. The way I see it, it seems Disney won't be releasing the unaltered versions for some time, and I have not seen the originals in many years. Actually I haven't seen any Star Wars in like 6ish years, and I've been feeling so deprived lately. I had to.

Besides... even though I hate many changes, there are a good few I do like and would miss to be honest.
