If this were My Dinner With Andre the Giant, the running time would be around 10 hours or so.

Nobody really cares about this movie huh? I caught it back in 2004 while watching TV and i was instantly hooked. I'm all for different views about life and how the world works. The Philosophical and Metaphysics discussion was simply amazing to me.

Discovered this little gem due to Siskel and Ebert.
Wish there were some critics around to take their places and tell me about little known and overlooked films.

I caught a TCM recording of it last year and I couldn't believe how fast the time flew by. It's incredibly philosophical and engaging.

You could watch My Breakfast With Blassie starring Andy Kaufman and "Classy" Freddie Blassie.

I haven't seen A Master Builder but Vanya on 42nd Street is excellent. Malle's last film and it was the first time Malle/Shawn/Gregory worked together since MDWA. It's no My Dinner with Andre but few things are.

I've never seen My Dinner with Andre, but might blind buy it, just based on so many people's praise for it.

Well, Vanya is a very different film from MDWA, but I'd say on the same level, yes (if not stronger in some respects). Then MB is roughly the same type of film as Vanya, but maybe not quite as excellent.
